I would agree! If I had to pick...I would have to say beer though...I love hanging out with a couple of friends just pounding down beer with some chill music, it really hits the spot! :thumbsup

thickcash_amo 10-14-2010 06:54 AM

<-----wine all the way!

CaptainHowdy 10-14-2010 07:01 AM

One beer a day keeps the doctor away...

michael.kickass 10-14-2010 07:45 AM

I voted Wine, but it has to be red and has to be sell in a bottle. :2 cents:

cwd 10-14-2010 07:48 AM

yes, please!

fuzebox 10-14-2010 07:55 AM

Totally depends on the situation... Afternoon BBQ or watching a game, beer. Drinking all night at a club, rum. Dinner, wine. Wine is actually my favorite to drink, but I can't just have 12 glasses while out for the night or I'll end up in the hospital.

i have always been scared to do this giving the horror stories i have heard people go thru. Not sure what makes it dangerous, but have definately heard of burn victims from brewing beer.

I dont know how someone would get a burn other than being careless quite honestly. There are several methods that would be considered "brewing" at home.

From mixing up a simple beer concentrate with water and adding yeast, to full hour long boils. Usually a full boil is done on a propane turkey fryer style rig. Sure you could get burned, but no more so than if you're just boiling water for an hour.

I do a method on the stove top in a 5 gallon pot. Steep some grains, add some extract, add hops at specific intervals, chill, add yeast, wait a few weeks. Thats about it.

The most common issues I've read of are failure to be 100% sanitary and getting an infected batch. Or over-priming glass bottles to the point where they fail and explode. It's pretty simple to avoid both of these things though.

tranza 10-14-2010 09:07 AM

If I had to chose one, I'd go with wine.

But I agree with Wizzo: all of the above!

Honez 10-14-2010 09:20 AM

Wine with dinner or a glass in the hot tub, however beer was made for the weekends :)

People do that with marijuana too! Make their own

Danny B 10-14-2010 09:40 AM

Beer for the win.
It's what I drink most.
Heineken zero preferably.

Sure wine for dinner and maybe a nice movie.

Hard liquor only mixed and when clubbing.

Varius 10-14-2010 09:47 AM

Before: Anything & Everything :winkwink:

Now: Once a week - Whiskey or Vodka on the rocks if out drinking, otherwise wine if with dinner.

I think im going to have to stick with picking up a pre-made 6 pack from the store, lol

Tom_PM 10-14-2010 10:13 AM

Brewing and wine making at home is more popular in places like Canada where there is a strict alcohol tax. So by buying the raw ingredients and brewing it at home, they save a larger percentage of money compared to the US it's true.

I use my grow light to grow vegetables, and brew my own beer. Damn.. I think I'm an old fart.:Oh crap
