Hitler invented separation of church and state?
Oh you Tea baggers are so much fun!
------- Christine O'Donnell isn't the only Delaware Tea Party candidate making waves. The seat in the House of Representatives currently held by Republican Mike Castle -- who was defeated by O'Donnell in Tuesday's Senatorial primary -- is also up for grabs. The Republican primary for that office was won by Tea Partier Glen Urquhart, and it turns out that his political positions may be even more unique than O'Donnell's. "Do you know, where does this phrase 'separation of church and state' come from?" Urquhart asked at a campaign event last April. "It was not in Jefferson's letter to the Danbury Baptists. ... The exact phrase 'separation of Church and State' came out of Adolph Hitler?s mouth, that's where it comes from. So the next time your liberal friends talk about the separation of Church and State ask them why they?re Nazis." Story continues here... http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2010/09/g...-church-state/ |
i think there are bigger religious nuts in USA that you can find in any islamic country...I dont understand - how can this be in 21st century? While the world wants Muslim countries to abandon their prehistoric religious mentality we see completely opposite in USA - more and more religious nuts are poping up and they are getting major mainstream "recognition"..what gives?

seriously it is not about credibility. I am not sure what it is about but the more outrageous things these candidates spew the more press they get... then their handlers start telling them to STFU and read the notes. Now they have the press coverage because they are insane, but they begin talking like a human being with a measurable IQ and now they are transformed into viable political figures that will win the election and run our (the US; I live here) into the ground... and BTW... UFOs ate Obama's brain and Biden is actually a female Nazi member of the communist party that believes in Taoism and wants to steal you bicycle so WATCH OUT! |
This country is really dividing itself with total inbred idiots and decently smart people. These tea baggers are proof of that. As long as they stay out of my city they can run their inbred mouths all they want.

The nature of this country is that there are all sorts of people. And I think that is a very good thing. That's what makes this country great. The problem is when we have people in influential positions influencing the less informed part of our population. Thats when it can become a problem. because as you stated, yes these people vote. Luckily they dont vote in my state. |
Wasnt it french revolution ? Before Jefferson I suppose.

they do indeed vote in your state. The depressing facts are that the tea party has got momentum and enthusiasm on their side. The other side, and in it I include moderate republicans (rarer than white buffaloes) as well as moderate and liberal dems, do not appear to have the energy to go to the polls during this mid term elections and the R's stand a better than even chance of winning a majority not only in the house (bad) but the Senate as well (much much worse). I agree that diversity makes us stronger, but only diversity mixed with tolerance and the spirit of working together... neither of which the tea party republicans have shown much of... scary times |

"At the beginning of the Protestant Reformation, Martin Luther articulated a doctrine of the two kingdoms. According to James Madison, perhaps one of the most important modern proponents of the separation of church and state, Luther's doctrine of the two kingdoms marked the beginning of the modern conception of separation of church and state."

tolerance is not the key though. truth is the key. truth, and the ability to recognize lies. do not rely on the mercy of others, you must be able to recognize truth on your own. |

I wonder if she is reffering to Adolf Hitlers Essen, Party Convention speech where he is talking about the theological foundations of communist communities and the impact on Christians and Christian institutions to support political order. I hate to say it but if that's the specifics she is talking about then she would be correct, because it does go deeper than the French 1905 Law.
