    You will be discretely paid out as...

    For the last week I've received 4 checks in my mailbox (thank you epassporte!), 3 of them had porn-related references printed on the actual check. How do I suppose to bring them to the bank where half of the clerks know me personally and one of them is my neighbour living few houses away from me?!

    Is it necessary to print that kind of info on the actual check?!? Why not to print stuff like that on a piece of paper I can read, tear away from the check and leave it for my records?

    Dear affiliate program owners, if you care about privacy of your members why you can't take care about privacy of your affiliates? It not that difficult...

                          no its not and you are right they shouldn't put porn names or logos on those checks. They bill the customers descretly they should pay out the affiliates the same way.

                          You could however drive a little further away to another branch and make the deposit there.

                                      That happened to us this week, too . . . Delia's porn name printed right in the reference line. It's worse for us because we have sites ourselves so if people google our names, they'll see us naked!! Also, we live in a relatively rural & isolated area so going to another town is a big expense of gas and time.

                                          Even if you deposit it in the cash machine, they're still going to process it inside that bank branch, aren't they? There are about five cashiers that work there and they all know us by name.

                                              I think St. Kitts bank wants way more disclosure on transactions and thus the epass shutdown.

                                              So now a porn name on the bank... I know some banks are really tough about everything on a check... especially MX.

                                              In the US... not a problem but I suspect other locations it could be a big one

It is a variation on an old mail order scam where you order something, they cashed your check, and then said it was sold out and sent you a refund check from something like Tiny Penis Club Inc or Cock Sucking Techniques Ltd etc.

                                                                                                          Everyone has a right to discretion, I'm not trying to say it's cool to put a clearly adult language on a check, but if it helps any of you guys out I stopped caring what people thought of me at the bank a while ago and I couldn't be happier.

                                                                                                          I don't know why, maybe because the bank is the gatekeeper to my cash, but I used to really care what people thought of me at the bank. I would even go as far as throwing on a sweater or a jacket before going in there to cover my tattoos, etc. It took me a bit to get it, probably the 3rd or 4th time one of the account managers asked me what the hell it was I did for a living that it sunk in. They don't see me, they only see the dollar amount of my bank accounts and they treat me accordingly. I don't give a damn what the people at the bank think of me and it hasn't changed my banking relationships what so ever.

                                                                                                          No one should force you to be made uncomfortable by what they have printed on a check, but if it helps you to look at it this way the people inside the bank are really just service industry when you boil it down. They shouldn't judge you, and if you feel that they are you can always remind yourself that you make more $$ than them anyway. I don't know about you, but I'd rather be thought of as a dirty pornographer than a bank teller anyday.

I just got a check yesterday that had a generic company name printed on it. However, someone must have thought I was too stupid to figure out who was paying me, because they helpfully wrote "Dungeon Bank" in the memo. That was on the envelope too.

                                                                                                                  I agree with the OP. I don't want porn references on checks that I receive. I don't care for myself what people think, but I do care for my sons. I *especially* care for my minor son, because I am not anxious to have to prove in court why I am not a bad parent for slinging smut on the internet.

I wasn't trying to address any comment specifically, just offering my own personal take on how I deal with it.

                                                                                                                                                  I don't support companies putting blatant adult text on payments. I don't live in a big city but I have never lived in a town small enough where the people who work at the bank have any interraction with or effect on my personal life or social circle. My only suggestion for those of you in that situation would be to contact the sponsor and request they re-cut the check or pay you our via wire or other electronic payment method if possible.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      I'm not the one who started the thread, I've been in this biz since 2000, and I've gotten used to things like this happening/have come to expect it. Still, I think it's worth mentioning/backing someone else up and pointing out how fucking clueless and or inconsiderate people in this business can be.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      Everyone should be aware by now that there are repercussions to being outed as a porn peddler, porn performer, porn producer, etc. that go beyond worrying about whether or not someone has a bad opinion of you and go into zoning laws, not being able to find a home to rent, obscenity charges, stalking, etc.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      SHOULD BE aware. Obviously aren't, and/or don't care.
