Results from my Epassporte wallet ACH withdrawls on 9/1 and 9/3

Hello Everyone,

We receive funds via ePassporte directly into our wallet on a regular basis. Our practice is daily withdrawl of funds via ACH (not wire) to our US checking account. Here are the results of our recent transactions, ALL POSITIVE:

9/1 (Wednesday) 1 withdrawl via ACH, received 9/3 (Friday)
9/7 (Friday) 3 withdrawls via ACH - all received 9/7 (Tuesday, 1st business day after the holiday)

ePassporte funds have always taken two days to arrive. I am relieved that funds were disbursed in a timely manner. MojoHost is happy to continue accepting ePassporte payments provided that traditional banking functionality works as designed.

We are hopeful for a speedy resolution to the Visa problem and that everyone's access to Visa funds and functionality is fully restored.

Sincerely,

Brad Mitchell

We are all frustrated and worried about the current situation. If regular banking functionality was non-functional, then we would all surely be F-ed. This IS good news, not a resolution to the current situation but reassuring to those of us who send, receive and move significant funds around via the other methods.

I have never used the Visa or ATM functionality. No offense to anyone else out there.. MojoHost reports all revenue and I prefer to use American Express.

I sent out an email to our customers on Monday. A statement of position is something I would guess every host would be happy to give if asked. Ultimately, every company is at best taking a wait-and-see position on future use. Personally, I would question the legitimacy of any host who kept any significant deposits within a prepaid Visa product instead of a traditional insured bank account or the actual wallet. Speaking very practically, at $3 per ACH withdrawl ePassporte is/was the single most cost-effective way to receive funds outside of depositing a physical check or cash here in the states.

Best of luck,

Brad

Most people who use the virtual visa do report their income.
It's a convenient way to pay registrars etc :2 cents:

FighterSpirit 09-08-2010 09:55 AM

thx for good news :thumbsup

It definitely is, I'm not criticizing or suggesting that any large percentage of people use this for the wrong reasons.

Update, more good news.

Two ACH withdrawls requested on 9/8 were received at our bank today. While Epassporte has yet to resolve Visa access or be caught up on wires, they are still functioning normally for this automated banking function.

So basically ACH works, and wire and ATM not.

Fabien 09-10-2010 07:02 AM

Yeah it's working but for how long ? How much cash available left ? Keep in mind that 99.99% of the guys will get their money out !

It seems so, I haven't spent much time talking to people about it but I don't think I have heard of any wires processed yet. I would think if they have been working on those that we would be hearing about it yesterday or today.

Anybody's guess is as good as mine. I am hopeful for resolution, they must be as well - obviously a profitable business and quite valuable as long as it functions.

what amount did you take out, at least xx.xxx$ or it was 5x250$

because there is essential difference..

Brad Mitchell 09-13-2010 10:50 AM

Continued success-

My 3 ACH withdraws from the wallet on 9/9 all showed up today. This is on time as per the historical expectation of deposits 2nd business day after requesting. LucPL, as for the dollars withdrawn, that is personal. Thus far, 8 transactions totaling more than ten thousand and all were on time. For us, it has been business as usual with how we utilize ePassporte to receive funds and withdraw by ACH to a US checking account.

Good news - Received 5 more ACH deposits today, on time. In total about equal dollars to all of the withdrawn money the first 13 days of the month. So far, all good news on the wallet to US checking account transactions. I'll stop reporting good news if nobody is finding this valuable.

I find it very valuable, please keep it up if its not too much work

Loch 09-14-2010 10:16 AM

Same here, we have not stopped accepting Epassporte either.
Our communication with them has been great and timely so far....sure a little slower as I’m sure they are extremely busy, but sufficient enough for me to not worry too much.

I hope they make it out of this storm as well.

FighterSpirit 09-14-2010 10:17 AM

good news , thx for that

18teens 09-14-2010 10:23 AM

Very good news.

rublerum 09-14-2010 10:27 AM

good news, but from our side whos money is stuck in VV is no good news :(

Forkbeard 09-14-2010 10:47 AM

Brad, I'm finding it valuable. I'm one of the guys who has money stuck in the VV -- including my October Mojohost payment in fact, this is gonna be a "stick it on the credit card on September 30" month if Epass doesn't get things sorted, sigh -- so I'm naturally interested in ANY sign that Epassporte is still a going concern at this point now that they've gone silent and stopped making public statements.

Brad Mitchell 09-15-2010 10:26 AM

Another timely not small ACH deposit received today.

Brad

Brad Mitchell 09-17-2010 07:09 PM

Another large ach today. Ps, both of the ach threads today are bs- just people who don't know the system.

Brad
