Mainstream Affiliate Programs Fucking SUCK
Bunch of slack-jawed morons at the helm of these programs who have no idea what internet marketing is.
I always felt we were spoiled in adult with our affiliate support and tools. Now I know for sure. |
Are you fucking serious? Spoiled by adult affiliate support? omg... :1orglaugh
|
Some of them suck and some of them don't suck. It depends on which company you are talking about.
|
I agree 100% :pimp

If you got something to say then say it with something other than ":1orglaugh" Adult programs hold affiliate hands WAY too much - how can you not think you get all the tools you need when it comes to the average adult program? Mainstream programs in the first place have a screening process to get the "privilege" of YOU promoting THEM. This has always irritated the shit out of me to begin with. Then these affiliate support fucks have no idea what they're talking about. In this instance I was asking for access to a data feed from Amazon that is ALREADY AVAILABLE and their canned response was to read a book or ask a friend for help with setting up something entirely unrelated. No phone number, no IM sofwtare in place - you can't even email the affiliate support directly or reply to the email you get. I replied back clarifying, and used the word "bullshit" and my account was closed. Now THAT deserves a ":1orglaugh" but it more felt like a: :disgust |

Yah I'm lazy too.
Where's the damn RSS feeds in mainstream?? Sent emails to get them but nothing. Oh well I'll push porn :) |
Yes that is one of reason why i avoid mainstream programs, for example what i find very stupid you have program like CJ where you can sell various programs for commision, but you cant signup once and be approved, every fucking program which you want to promote you need to be approved and it have special rules as well.Plus in most cases programs offer only check as payout which is totally unacceptable.I will either stick always with adult or maybe create my own program in mainstream.

I was working on customizing my own RSS feed using their bulk data feed, which you have to request access to. There is nothing in my original post here nor my email to them that in any way suggests them doing any work for me other than giving my happy ass access so I CAN get some work done. I really wish you fucks would knock this nonsense off, it's lame and pointless and completely diverts subject matter. I made this thread to vent some frustration - Idgaf if you agree with me or not, but if you're going to open your mouth then at least have something intelligent to say and read before you write. All you trolls are exactly the same. Welcome to ignore. :thumbsup |
We are half mainstream / half adult.
www.moreniche.com , we have LOT's of resources and support. Let me know if there is anything you need which isn't on there :) |
Amazon affiliate program is complete crap imo, I don't think i've gotten a check yet and I referred some damn nice sales... fuckers
|
There are plenty of good mainstream programs.

I have this terrible experience with NeverBlue a couple years ago that was a good lesson in the stigma adult STILL has to this day. People forget or are not even aware that the commercialization of the internet wouldn't have even been possible if it weren't for teh dirty pron. |
You seem to have a lot of anger and hate lately. Are you okay?

I was illustrating a point to angry troll cat that adult affiliate support and mainstream support (in my experience) are on two completely different spectrums of support. Though I doubt you'll reply to this reply as it's your MO to lightly troll people wherein you attempt to point out the stupidity in their posts - trouble is there's rarely any in what I write - you should know by now it's a fruitless endeavor with me baddog. Why do posts on GFY always require such intricate explanation? I'm frustrated by a recent experience and I'm venting - sorry if this subject matter is too complicated for some of you. |

Should prob go back to being a digital hermit - thanks for the feedback Sly. |

Amazon does not need you as an affiliate. You're the dumbshit that sent them an oh so professional email telling them it's bullshit. You think they drive a hard bargain? Try working with EPN. You'll have to round up a new shipment of Kleenex for your leaky eyes. I for one appreciate that mainstream programs have set the bar a little higher for entry. Why the fuck would they want just any old punk with an internet connection to be able to hop on and start blasting their shit out? This is where adult went really wrong... Setting the bar for affiliate entry ultra low and blasting the net with "Make $$$ now!" links plastered all over everything. If you can't go through the motions that are necessary with a multibillion dollar monster like Amazon, keep to pushing smut and quit your fucking balling. |
I feel your pain, i have worked closely with mainstream programs in the past and it sometimes can be very painful LOL!
|
Bunch of pricks for sure.

I have a domain with the word "god" in it, and was denied by a bunch of typical stores (like walmart) because they didnt want to be affiliated with a RELIGIOUS website.
Mind you, the only thing on the website at the time was a blank index page. Several of them banned my account because the domain has the word god in it, lol. I guess it's a real hotbutton word. |

I fucking hate CJ, but I don't come back here screaming "FUCK ZOMGHAX#!@ MAINSTREAM AFFILIATES PROGAMS SUCK TEH BAWLS!!!!" I find the majority of my affiliate support on mainstream networks well up and above that of any affiliate support I ever received in adult. Hell get this, some networks even have AMs that know what they're talking about. All I ever seen from 95% of adult affiliate managers was the equivelent of a god damn tour guide. "Oh, you need tools, here they are right in the fucking affiliate area. Good bye." "Oh. you need information? I dunno let me ask my boss for you, and then I'll get back to you never..." :2 cents: |

=================== And to Angry Troll Cat replying - you do realize I no longer can read your posts? Why waste your time? Especially all this trolling is only because you and MetaMan are butt buddies - it's cute to see you keeping the trolling going for your boyfriend. |

Peep ecsuite.com [ccbill] and make your own program! |
You're a self important faggot, I don't need you to read my threads to get my point across to anyone with any sense. All I see is a bunch of whining from an idiot. Learn the rules, and play by the fucking rules. Not that hard. It's called compliance, get with it.
|
Oh, I understood why they disapproved my account and all that like BradM says, but I also agree with luv$ that there was no independant discussion so it came across as just strange to me at first. I guess walmart etc doesnt want someone to sue because some "religious" site was selling their stuff.
I still need to get that domain going. I realise now that I need to simply target religious items for sale and put god to good use (lol). |

All this thread amounts to is whining that a mainstream affiliate program has raised the bar for entry a little above the adult world's "anyone and everyone" level of entry. |
Most CPA programs rely on nothing more than cookies and pixel firing for tracking. I can't imagine how many sales are being lost every day due to poor tracking.

i always thought it was an interesting realtionship between sponsor and webmaster in adult
here is the sponsor paying the money...and jumping through hoops to get the biz and then in mainstream...as you said...its like you have to apply to send them business. i think it just means that mainstream is ripe for the picking i mean if you came in with proper stats alone you could take over |
