While you were watching the game I went to Denmark (pics)

I was not about to let a little thing like the Superbowl get in the way of my church going. This week, my spiritual journey took me [and my son] to the Santa Ynez Valley; specifically, Solvang, CA

Solvang is an authentic Danish village nestled outside of Santa Barbara. Luckily, there was no rain, although it did get pretty chilly at points. Here are a few pics.

Awesome scenery. I need to come join you for one of these rides when it warm enough over the mountain passes.

There were some pretty cool places along the way. I will be uploading some vids to YouTube later.

You are welcome to join me [us] anytime you are ready. You need to invest in some cold weather gear. :winkwink:

I have been to Leavenworth and Santa Ynez....neither is anywhere close to being authentic. And I really mean not even close.

Do not recall. I have not been to WA since my first ex-wife. If it is off the 5, then maybe. Otherwise, doubtful.

Did you miss something, or was my response a bit too obtuse? I thought that was as simple as it gets, really. No...its not near the I5. Does that kind of settle it?

ummm, if you had been following along, JD asked me a question. Your response ensured my correct response to said question would be "no." Okay?

How much money did you lose on the game?

I didn't even know who was playing until I watched the 4th quarter. And the response was "no". You just need to read before you fire from the hip.

Nah, but have fun dude. Jump on that grandpa cycle and do the coast to coast. Just head up the I5 and turn right.

I was not there for pancakes, so correct. Personally, I thought the food we had was good. I guess we were just lucky.

Hi baddog.......

I always enjoy your pictures posted. I used to travel in big bands (Tommy Dorsey for one) playing trumpet and have seen many beautiful places like you post.

It really brings back lots of good memories.

Thank you sincerely,

I was in Solvang for a few years ago, and it was really nice. Cozy and nice well kept restaurants. Do not forget to buy Danish wienerbrod with choklad on.

Nice pics.
