Let's talk bikes

End-of-summer oil change is going down this weekend, getting kind of excited for my "mandatory" ride after I clean her out & up again. Haven't done enough this summer, too much time spent indoors and in books...

So, in the spirit of boys & their toys - post what you ride!

(not an actual pic of my bike, but same model/year - if I took a pic & posted it the sheer awesomeness would make your head asplode):

http://www.cdthayer.com/imagesbike/95_Vulcan_750_3.jpg

Took me 4 months to fix it up and get it as good as new - enjoying the hell out of it whenever I can.

Oh yeah, and yes, I got the wolf-head W&M saddlebags - cheesy as fuck, I know... but I love 'em.

bufferover 09-11-2009 12:51 AM

That toy looks really sweet :winkwink:

Machete_ 09-11-2009 12:58 AM

Nice bike. Im not in to choppers myself, but the Vulkan 750 is a good bike

I wont post pics of all my bikes, But I will post a pic of one of the ATV's
Last week I rolled over the 20.000 Kilometers marker on it.

This bike I rode in the swiss alps 3 weeks ago. Its a Honda XL500 Supermotard build. With a wiseco 597ccm kit and 36mm flatslit carb. I have tried to kill it the last few years, but it just wont die. Starting it up aint always fun, because Im running a 1:10,4 compression with a early ignition curb to get the extra lowrange. That means it backfires a lot. The sucker almost rip your foot off because the kickstarter gear-ration is so high
http://www.ebusdk.com/gfx/temp/xl500.jpg

I spend around 50-60.000 km each year on the bikes. Both fun and business.

Mr Pheer 09-11-2009 01:00 AM

I have 4 in my garage now... but this is what I ride most of the time because its great for long range touring, and its a lot of fun in the canyons.

nice poser busa :) Pretty sure I have seen that one posted on the bike forums I use, but had no idea it was yours

Is the cross bike a cr450? I'm thinking about getting that or the new BMW 450 for endurance fun myself

baX 09-12-2009 03:53 AM

I'm more into dirt bikes. Drive Yamaha TTR 600 and love it.
My dream is KTM Adventure and the tour around the world

Sales is my job - every commercial, billboard and ad I see in daily life is the competition. Every mall pitch man, slap chop selling pimp slapper or sales call I get is a chance to learn something.

Rarely some are good enough for me to take notice - ie, Dos Equis and 'The Most Interesting Man in the World' spots. Probably, IMO, the best booze commericals since the crime fighting duo of 'Bacardi and Cola'.

The TTr's are great. I had a 87 TT600 and a 1999 TTr600. Its a shame they dont make them anymore. The new 660 models are to heavy and to far from the endurance bike I want.
