Help name my dog!
 

Hey guys, if some of you know I mentioned in the last couple months, my Pit Bull had puppies... Well it wasn't MY dog per say... but my girlfriends. Well, we ended up breaking up 2 weeks ago, and I went on my own, and we both agreed, I should take one of the pups with me. I really don't have any pictures of him right now, but we always called him Dopey as a joke because of how laid back and calm he is..

Well I want to give him a proper name, he may be laid back and mellow, but I want to give him a name that will go well with his "image" of being a bad ass dog. So I thought of giving him the name Capone, like Al Capone, the gangster. Anyone have any other suggestions?

I don't remember what the sire's full papered name is, but I know short is Beasley. The bitch's full papered name is Beasley's Midnight Pornstar, Star for short.

I don't know if I'll paper him, really don't care, I won't be breading him, he's gonna get his nuts chopped, I just want a cool name for him, I want people to hear me call his name, see a big beastly Pit come running, and think "Oh shit! HIDE!!" but then see how lovable and sweet he is.

if he's dopey in character he should be named after a well known historical drug dealer.....

Dopey is what my ex called him... I don't want him to have a retarded Snow White bullshit name. Especially no damn Mexican name either.

I want him to have something unique, yet cool... I don't want to go to a dog park and yell his name and have some random dog come running up to me.

Skufty is a cool name, unique and probably won't be heard all over.

My ex and I rescued a cat that I leash trained that I called fucker. Name fit him perfectly. It was funny during the training I'd walk him around saying "Come on fucker it's just a car" and people would look at me weird.

I doubt many will know who Mickey Knox is... I actually had to Google the name because it sounded familiar but I just couldn't put my finger on who he was.

I've always wanted a dog named 'Dog'. Think about it, when you call him it shows people that he knows his fuckin' roll.

Tons of gangsters over the years haven't had the toughest of names.. "Bugsy" for one.

I have a friend who had a great American Pitbull named "Cash" and another named "Gacy" (serial killer John Wayne Gacy). K-9 cop down the road from me has a dog named "Diesel". Another local one is "Zeus".

How about Stains? Just imagine what people would think when you are calling him at the park while you are shouting "come Stains, come"....LOL

This was not my idea, I borrowed it, but it is still a funny name.

Knox would be cool name on its own. My friend just got 2 husky lab mixes and named them Demon and Chaos.

So you need a tough name to help give your pitbull a badass dog image. Doesn't that statement help perpetuate the whole stereotype. :upsidedow

All kidding aside I'm a dog lover and have nothing against pitbulls and I hope your new buddy brings you many years of joy and happiness like mine does for me. :thumbsup

As for a name I've always liked a name that is more than one syllable and ends in an eee sound. My dog's name is Rusty and my last one was named Buddy. There is something about calling a dogs name that ends in the eee sound that just gets them excited and motivated. I think there was even a study on it. It just has much more of an affect than a name like Ralph.
