I've tried to rephrase my question 3 different times and you still don't get it. I don't really know how else I could ask it, but let me try one more time. Forget the house, forget semi retirement, forget everything you did with your money in 10/06. In 07/06 you claimed you were literally starving, couldn't pay rent and couldn't pay your utilities and a multitude of other things. At that point, wouldn't any sane individual sell some stocks (regardless of tax ramifications), just so that he could have enough to eat and pay rent?
