I don't get it, if you don't have any vices, what's there to do to occupy your time?

When people quit smoking, what do they do to fill those time gaps where there's nothing to do really?

when i quit smoking, i started going for drives. When i need to get a fix of some kind i go up in the canyons and let loose :thumbsup

My brother and his wife are evangelicals so very few vices. He works about 100 hours a week as a pharma district sales manager.

I am really straight edge, I don't drink, don't smoke, have never smoke pot in my LIFE, don't do any drugs (except coffee), don't party, don't club, don't go to bars

For fun I :

1. Listen to internet radio and music

2. Watch music videos on youtube

3. Watch movies and tv shows I recorded on DVR, movies that I like I will watch over and over again and go online to read about them in depth and analysis/character studies of my favorite movies. Movies and tv shows are entertaining and keep me occupied and kill time for hours/days and allow me to escape from the world

4. Read blogs

5. Shop online, check out new inventory at all my favorite online stores, read reviews on products I want to buy next and figure out/plan what I want to buy next

6. I like to eat, it gives me a form of pleasure

7. Drive around by myself and listen to music

8. Go to the beach by myself and sit in the car listening to music or walk around

9. Run errands such as buy groceries, pick up dry cleaning, get hair cut, car washed and other such things

10. Read books sometimes

straight edge is still ok to gamble, right??

As for vices, I like to purchase things for myself and I am vain so I will spend on things/procedures to that end.

I also eat fattening foods and a lot of ice cream and sweets (even though I am NOT fat), so that is another vice.
I really am addicted to ice cream. There have been many times when I drove to the store at 3 am to get some.
I am also addicted to animal fries and chilli cheese fries and cheeseburgers from in n out.

I am also lazy and lay around a lot. I guess that is another vice.

The same thing you would do while smoking, but without the smoking! I quit weed like two weeks ago, at first it sucked now I forget why I even used to bother, you realize that you do the same things, just you don't smoke.

Works in the yard
Travels (they go on at least 1 trip a month)
Has "dates" with his wife
Plays with his daughters
LOVES watching sports on TV
"fixes" things - I love it when I can talk him into coming to my house and working on MY list
He just got his MBA - took him 5 years since he was working and doing all the other above things :)

I'd get so much more done if I didn't have vices :(

I am NOT religious btw, I just don't like to do drugs or drink or party. its just not fun for me. i am anti-religious actually, i hate really super religious people.

I am just naturally a straight edge because what other people consider vices do nothing for me. I want to preserve my youth for as long as possible and most vices such as drinking/smoking tend to age you. I guess vanity is another of my vices. I do a lot of research online about preserving youth and living as long as possible and the best products on reversing the signs of aging.

No I'm not, I have an extremely high metabolism, I am probably considered underweight.

I am one of those people who can eat as much as they want and never get fat. I was blessed with an incredible metabolism, people wish they could eat as much as me and never get fat. I see people who barely eat and they are still fat. I am just blessed. Don't be jealous.
