I think the biggest problem is that this world is full of selfish people who don't care if there's a war or people diying at the other end of the world. As far as they don't have the problem near them, they just don't care.

eugenics is a major area of study by many of the world's leading governments. the nazi's were the first to take eugenics real seriously. funny how after world war 2 the us government did everything they could to take on german scientists and researchers studying the field. one of the fields of study that the germans were heavily involved in was the creation of a race specific disease or biological weapon. another interesting coincidence is that is wasn't all that long after kissinger's report and resurrected discussion of the race specific disease that aids began it's onslaught in africa.

overpopulation IS the biggest problem the world face's and I fully agree with that statement. they don't speak much about it, but the higher ups certainly believe this, and eugenics has been an area of focus behind the scenes for decades now and it will continue to be. i can't say i argue it's implementation though. they ARE correct. and as much as it butthurt's people to be told that a large amount of the population s going to have to die eventually to ensure the survival of the rest, it is a sad reality...

so i'm assuming you believe that the world can continue to sustain an ever growing population? fact of the matter is that the population will continue to grow until nature runs it's course and the human population takes a massive hit. a small population while survive, adapt, and begin repopulating with a new abundance of resource. will the rest of the system catches up. now there are really only two options here. we can sit around waiting for famine or disease to clean us all out, or someone can step in and begin a system of eugenic depopulation. if you think there's nobody working on those plans for depopulation you're the deluded individual, not the "psychos" your closed mind disagrees with. do you really think anyone is in a big rush to cure cancer or aids, they're effectively doing their part to keep the population stabilized. why is the tobacco industry allowed to distribute pure death to the population? i really don't think it's all that crazy to state that there are people in a position of power who don't give a flying fuck about you life, and they do actively pursue all venues of protecting the survival of their bloodline, which INCLUDES eugenics research (or in simpler terms, killing whoever they have to to ensure thesurvival of their own)...

Think about this:

How many kids did your parents have and at what age? How many kids do you have or plan to have and at what age? Multiply that across the population of North America and Europe and see what you come up with.

People in the west are for the most part having kids later in life and as a result having less kids. I think that this is a trend that will continue for the next few generations.

As far as the 3rd world is concerned. As sad as it makes me to say it....there is a wealth of scholarly literature written about the fact that the west (or first world countries) needs the cheep labour available in the 3rd world. Without it cost for products would sky rocket. Under the pricing structures that exist now, there is no way that we can keep consumer goods at the price they are now if we were to manufacture them in the west. I didn't come up with the theory, but a lot of smart people subscribe to it. So we need these places to have the populations to support our excessive consumerism or we need to look for a new way to drive the economy. It really is as simple as that. Just ask Nike, Starbucks, Goodyear, etc.

So is overpopulation really the worlds biggest problem? No. In my opinion nuclear weapons and/or WMDs are. They give a few men the ability to commit genocide by pushing one button or two. The balance of power has been a problem throughout history and will continue to be if democracy is continued to be used as it has been over the past several decades.

what will be the pin drop which instigates the launch of nuclear weaponry though? it will come as the result of battling for control of resources in a crowded world. as the population grow larger, supply and demand will take over, cost of resources will rise, and conflicts will begin over the control of said resources. wmds would not be an issue of there weren't 6billion+ people scrambling over who gets their hands on what before its all used up and called for.

There already are conflicts over resources. Why do you think we are in the Middle East? Supply and demand has long been what our economy revolves around in the west. Perhaps you need to read some history and polsci books and get educated before you go off on tangents you don't understand. I don't want to come off as mean, but the facts are there to be found not to mention all over the news every day of the year since 9/11 and even before. Over population is not a problem yet in the West so I'm not sure what you are worried about. Hell here in Canada we have roughly one person per square Km. WMDs have always been a problem since they were created and then used in Japan. Abuses of power have plagued humans since the very beginning of time. This will not change. There will always be a power struggle.
