Lance69 12-20-2007 07:29 PM

Me too! Love it like crazy! Takes a few days to get the hang of shit. But it really grows on you. It disappoints me to have to pull out the PC laptop now. Oh and FYI the Roboform equivalent for mac is 1password. Works in FF, and Safari. (I was most worried about that when I switched)

Sorry guys, I gotta drop some Mac Fan jizz in this thread - I'm a total mac fan boy, as a recent convert saved a certain HELL with vista, If you're looking to switch, do it now!

1) You can run any software ANY Software on a mac you can run on a PC
2) lets see you boot 3 or 4 OS's without ANY headaches ( I run Ubuntu, OS X , Windows XP and Vista all on one MAC )
3) you can game, in windows on a mac .. and it'll run smoother than any POS dell you can afford
4) compare any computer with similar specs as Imac and you'll see the Mac comes out MUCH cheaper, and looks better too

And finally, pull your head out of your ass , YOU CAN RIGHT CLICK ON A MAC

The funniest part of this post is Joe himself saying it's a bad day.. Joe , do us a favor and report back in 2 months, let us know what you think.

Can't wait to pick up my macbook! Does the white one get dirty easily? I don't feel like paying 200$ more just for the color.

Bro Media - BANNED FOR LIFE 12-20-2007 09:31 PM

I have a white one and no it is not getting dirtier...

The only "bad" thing is, they're very shinny, so it can scratch quite easily, but you're better with the white than the black one on the lonf run, little scratches are more visible on the black one...

RandomNinja 12-20-2007 09:59 PM

Congrats, you will definitely love it!

jakethedog 12-20-2007 10:03 PM

MAC Rules!

jakethedog 12-20-2007 10:52 PM

best quote i have read on here regarding MAC computers is " Funny how you never see a PC guy trying to convert a MAC guy".......PC guys know the truth .. and like me I was just afraid of the learning curve .. well as a MAC lover now I can tell you they are awesome, reliable and fast as hell .. I will never go back to MAC as a primary computer ..

welcome to the club. Anxious to get an Intel Mac.. been working on a G5 PPC for a little while and many of the new apps are Intel specific. I also can't run bootcamp in Leopard so I am staying in Tiger as it's not worth the update yet.

You'll enjoy the switch.

What is bootcamp?

Bootcamp lets you boot into windows and run it at native speed,
Then there's parallels and vmware that let you open and run windows like any other program inside OS X - Parallels the better of the two, IMO :2 cents: but both could use a little work.

DamianJ 12-21-2007 04:28 AM

Just for the record, it's Mac. Not MAC. MAC is Media Access Control (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MAC_address).
