Skype or ICQ?
 

Which one do you use the most? I think everyone should move to Skype. ICQ is pretty old and crappy compared to it.

I havent used skype for ages! Does it have instant text messaging as icq?

I use icq, aim and yahoo but not skype.

prefer skype IM cause:

unlimited contacts
better emoticons
3 way possibility
no annoying soundfiles
free voicecall option

Yes, and Voice/Video Chat and Outdials to regular phone lines with low rates.

AND encryption.

I love the Skype chat setup, but no one uses it. Encryption is a cool benefit none of the others have that I'm aware of.

in the uk, a mobile firm (3 mobile) has started to sell skpe mobile phones.

You pay £10 per month (about $20), and can phone anyone on skype as much as you want.

I am tepted to get this.

Have a paid subscription for skype which i leave on at all times with my LA number runnign through it ....and run AIM ..ICQ .. MSN ..Yahoo through "Adium" for MAC at all times as well .. in todays world there are so many people running different mediums it is necessary

i am starting to get into skype alot more.

when I get my wireless headset with mic for christmas, I'm going to start using skype again.

ICQ does the job though and no matter what I wouldn't be able to replace it with skype, I'd use both.

totally different, i use ICQ to chat i use Skype if i want to talk face to face.

ICQ and Skype. But I only use skype for friends and family. Not biz.

Skype by far, but still use ICQ.

Like the conferencing system on Skype and spend a few hours a day on that - plus it has the usual "text chat" with the ability to paste complete documents in one hit - unlike ICQ

Yep. Would be cool to use it if others did.
Just seems no one else uses it.
In terms of the encryption, I am sure governments already broke it.
More of a convince and ease of use.

allthough I prefer MSN Messenger..

I like Skype, but no one uses it. All people in the bizz use:
ICQ (USA bizz)
MSN Messenger (europe bizz)

I do have both including aim and msn - but find that ICQ is where most of my contacts are

icq is unreliable,skype is I guess ok...I still cant figure why yahoo is not ok..? maybe its not in style?

It has built in audio..answering machine ,always works ,maybe Im missing the trends :(

I only use Icq between it and Skype. I have never used Skype and am not intending to. I already have Yahoo! and MSN as well as AIM messengers and that is too much for me. :)

Definitely Skype! It has much more to offer than ICQ.
