The latest Ghost story at my house - an update

I have posted about this before, about the strange goings on here.

Whether or not its a ghost is debatable, but some weird things do go on. Just some of the latest incidents.

Was dog sitting for friends while they were out of the country.

When my dog Kerouac was alive there would be times where he would all of a sudden sit up on the couch and stare at something in the kitchen. Not only would he stare, but he would turn his head to watch whatever it was as it moved from one side of the room to the next.

Well this dog did something similar except for in my bedroom.
He quickly sat up on the bed and began to stare stare at a corner in my room, he then started to watch something as it passed from that corner over the headboard on my bed and then stopped.

There is no one else here in the house, there were no noises that I could hear.

Now my friends returned home last night and picked up their dog, so I am completely alone. If you were to ever live with me, you would know that one thing I can't stand is for lights to be left on, or cabinet doors left open.

Well I went to bed, and when I got up this morning to go to the bathroom one of the cabinet doors was wide open.

My personal bathroom is not huge or deep, but it's long as it runs the length of the hallway.

I have dual sinks, and this was the door under the right sink where I keep stuff I don't use that often.

This cabinet door is also something you can't miss if left open. Because the bathroom is not deep, as you walk in the door you would have to be careful to step so as not to bang your knee on it if it were left open.

Once again, leaving a cabinet door is something I would not do. Also there is nothing I would have needed from that side of the cabinet right before I went to bed last night.

It's all weird, but true...LOL.

My dogs lick their own asses and I've even heard one growl at it's ass when it was farting too much. Is my dog's ass haunted?!?

pr0 11-21-2007 11:26 AM

I hope its a demon & i hope it rips the soul from you.

I would definitely call an exorcist.

Believe me GFY has already done that to me, as it has done to you and countless others here.

I've posted about other things that just defy explanation...one of the weirdest was when water faucets in two different bathrooms in the house were both on.

Once again I was all alone. My roommate is a professional poker player and she's gone more often than not. In fact this latest trip she's been gone for 6 weeks, so most of this stuff occurs when I'm all alone, and believe me she thinks I'm as crazy as GFY thinks I am.

Kool. I had a thing happen in a house we were renting when we first moved here.

We had a girl working in our home office doing webcams, She was sitting working one night, and my wife and I were as well. We had our backs to the door, and she was sitting alongside the wall where the door was. All of a sudden she screamed. We ran over, and she was very pale. We asked what happened, and she said that an old man in pajamas had walked past the office door and into the master bedroom.

The description she gave, it sounded like my father. He died when I was young.

Write a note on some paper and leave it where you think the 'ghost' might see it, saying "Open the bathroom cabinet door again, if you can? Then I'll know you exist."

See what happens.

I am on the fence when it comes to things like this however I do study the paranormal out of curiosity more then anything else.

If I were to believe I would not start an open dialogue. Its the equivalent of summoning them and according to many that believe in this stuff is very dangerous.

Scott McD 11-21-2007 12:39 PM

We've got loads of ghost stories throughout our family.

Thankfully i've not experienced any that i know of first hand...

baddog 11-21-2007 12:42 PM

My house has the spirit of the guy that did all the remodeling here. I think he just visits once in a while and it is only one room that I rarely use, so I am cool with it.

Perhaps you're referring to ouija board 'conversations' ? That's something I would say I'm on the fence about too

Brother Bilo 11-21-2007 12:43 PM

Ghosts are still in the believe it when I see it file.

I lived in a house were a guy went completely crazy (not an exageration, he was found earlier in the day in his tighty whities in the middle of a busy intersection), the cops showed up to take him to the hospital because the ambulance wouldn't go near him. Dude flipped out and attacked the cops, he went for one of their guns, so the other shot him up.

So a crazy guy gets killed in the house, I figure that's as good of a set up as anything for a ghost and I didn't notice anything weird at all. 3 dogs in the house didn't do anything weird besides normal stupid shit dogs do.

I don't think it's a completely crazy thought to believe there are ghosts, I just don't until I see it myself. Good luck with your house of horror.

I was referring to any paranormal contact. Its generally not a good idea because they consider it summoning the spirit. Dig around (AST is a good board for that sort of talk) and you will see what I am referring to.

Again this is just from what I researched. I don't want to sound like some sort of spirit advisor :1orglaugh

That's so creepy. I would flip out if my dog started doing that. Especially since I don't have one.

Sly 11-21-2007 01:35 PM

It was me... looking for a Nickelback CD.

Odie 11-21-2007 02:11 PM

don't worry I don't think you're nuts. I had ghosts attacking me in my sleep. I now sleep with a bible next to the bedside and I had my dad come over and say a prayer and tell them to leave me alone. Never had a problem since. They attacked me 4 times and did it to my friend once when she slept over...she won't sleepover anymore.

my best friend once lived in a house where she would leave the living room and come back and the furniture would be completely re-arranged including the pictures on the walls!!!

Odie 11-21-2007 02:12 PM

It's nice to know that i"m not the only one who is haunted by ghosts!

madfuck 11-21-2007 02:26 PM

Hell House Vic 11-21-2007 04:01 PM

pretty cool about the dog, but for some reason the cabinet door doesn't really strike me as important.

Uh no, it's not.

If you are sane or not is debatable maybe.

Wait, you are trying to say his pyjamas died as well and also turned into a ghost?

Really? Why don't you find one and provide us with some evidence. You could be the first person on earth to prove ghosts exist.
