Picked up a new 12 Guage (video)

Went and picked up a new Mossberg 12 guage with pistol grip the other day, so me and my friend kristy we to our buddy Marks property and shot off 250 rounds with it to test it out :) here is a small 1 minutes video of me and kristy shooting the 12 guage

https://youtube.com/watch?v=yjPVtOjhb2U

**We were shooting at Marks property which is 20+ acres and noone nearby to get hit with our bullets :)

We had some Clay disks but didnt get any video of that, Then we were shooting at a plastic bucket and a metal bucket to see what it would do to them :)

NetCashBrian 09-19-2007 07:36 AM

That must be for home self defense right? OR is it the newest gift in the Mob Bucks Rewards program?

Thanks for sharing the video. It is amazing to see the fall weather starting to kick in. You just don't see that here in Vegas.

this has to do with facts not caring what i think.

what makes you think i care if you care that i care or not?

because i dont care to dispute facts with akward shaped pear boys who shoot guns to compensate for being small in the crotch area.

Well done!

Is that the 590 A1? I have the same one, but I added a bayonet and a sidesaddle shell holder.

I just keep it in my bedroom in case of intruders. :winkwink:

OMG Jim 09-19-2007 10:05 AM

Looks like that would be good in a home invasion Pete. :thumbsup

I've been on a couple of bird hunts using a 16 or 20 gauge but never a 12 gauge with a pistol grip.

It looked like it was easy to pump and didn't have much recoil. Looks like you got off five rounds in about five seconds.

I would recommend both of you put the shoulder stock back on to your shotguns. Using a pistol grip on the shotgun you lose any kind of precision and you lose a lot of control too, espcecially if you are using it for home defense. They make shoulder stocks with pistol grips too, just a suggestion.

I think its a lot better with the pistol grip especially if you know how to use it, I have been hitting 95%+ of the clay targets with the pistol grip

Deej 09-19-2007 01:17 PM

good stuff, you should find a sapling and make a video of cutting it down.

I mean if youre shooting off 250 rounds... that'll do it :thumbsup

I just know from experience, especially if you're talking about using this as home protection that you want the control of the shotgun and not having it down at your waist. You'll shoot your own foot off the second someone pushes down on the barrel. I've seen the pictures and read the police reports.

K thanks, most likely that wouldnt come out in an home invasion anyways, I would pull out the Glock 40 cal which is always under the bed

You would pass up the preferred firearm of choice in a home invasion for a 40 cal.? With 40 cals. you have to deal with over penetration through interior walls into other bedrooms and not to mention the loss of the scariest sound known to intruders, the sound of pump action. Keep the 40 in the drawer and stick with the 12 gauge for a home invasion dude.

Ya, it is pretty useless as far as skeet shooting and such, but I think it's perfect for home defense, mostly for the intimidation factor. I'll be adding a tactical light to it as well, whenever I get around to it.

I'll most likely end up using the bayonet before I have to plug someone. It's mostly drunk Indians that do all the break-ins around here... they usually bolt as soon as they see anyone.

I have an over and under that I use for skeet shooting, hunting, etc.

Nice looking gun :thumbsup

I was going to pick up something similar for home defense... The store I shop at doesn't carry Mossberg though :(

RayVega 09-19-2007 05:18 PM

Nice weapon Pete! Got the same one. Actually Mike and I bought ours the same day. I loaded it up with 50 cal. slugs and keep it on the mantle (wife hates it up there). I'm not under any foolish thoughts that it's for home protection...but it is fun to shoot isn't it?
