** Warning ** Do not fear torrent sites anymore!
Because non-torrent web 2.0 sites are taking over. Totally powered/updated & hosted by mainstream video sharing sites.
Just take a look at this steady growth & rank. Then compare to thepiratebay... http://www.alexa.com/data/details/tr...tv-links.co.uk http://www.tv-links.co.uk = actual site Now compare to the largest torrent site on earth. http://www.alexa.com/data/details/tr...iratebay. org While you guys are sitting around trying to figure out how to take the fight to the torrent kids, a whole new generation of sites with much more mass appeal are popping up all over. You've been warned. :pimp |

I've been all over tube sites like mad, I know more about the other side of that business then most here.
You will see. |
That's plain crazy! Thanks for the link dude.
|
It is a just site that is basically filtering out youtube and other tube site listings and relisting them. A business model entirely dependant not only on users ripping videos, but someone else paying the bandwidth.
Smart enough to get them run out of business. youtube just has to push the "ban" button on them and they will be toast. |

ive never thought of torrents as a problem, just because someone downloads your movie doesnt neccessarily mean they would have otherwise bought it.

And no torrent or "web 2.bullshit" will ever be able to have the ability to actually entertain an audience. Yeah, there's a place for "user content". And then there are people who DEMAND something better. Who want something that is crafted and presented professionally. I'm sure that all the trailer park people will enjoy the torrent sites. But when I go out on the town, I like to go first class. Same when I'm surfing. I don't want to see a shitty, out of context vid ripped on a torrent site. I want to walk in the front door of the site and get the red carpet treatment. I want the full effect if you will.
And most people with money want the same thing. The low class trash can hang on the torrent sites all day long and download stolen vids. They still don't know what's going on in the members area and the interactive things that are happening inside that CAN'T be stolen. You can't steal my creativity. And you can't steal what I'm gonna do next. You can only rip off what I've already done. Web 2.0 is like looking in the rearview mirror in terms of entertaining the audience. So you pro-torrent guys go ahead and enjoy your "new" technology and smugly pat yourselves on the back. Meanwhile, the people with true creativity and ideas will continue to create NEW stuff and leave you always a step behind in the actual content you are presenting...and leave you completely out of the game in terms of total presentation of said content in it's proper context. |

What I'd like to know is out of all the GFYers doing post after post of anti-torrent rhetoric, how many are letting the new 2257 comment period come and go without saying a peep?
Look at all of the resources being put into mobilizing the anti-torrent movement (which is a waste of time) while maybe one or two people are working the boards trying to get those 2257 comments sent in. |

Again, it's entertainment. Something I've been doing all my life. I know my audience. Underestimating the desire of a customer for the better things in life is a mistake in my estimation. You can write them off as nothing but perverts wanting to get their rocks off for free. But I've made millions off of doctors, lawyers, businessmen, and other members from all parts of society who WON'T settle for the lesser things in life. Especially when you take into account the incredible bargain that a good premium paysite is in comparison to other forms of entertainment. Thirty bucks? I spill more beer in 10 minutes. You could have a good time at a titty bar for oh...about 5 minutes. You could get yourself a half-ass meal at a shitty restaraunt. OR, you can have a month long membership to a premium site with all the bells and whistles. Available to you 24 hours a day. I mean, it's a pretty cheap form of adult entertainment. And again...the torrent sites can NOT foresee the future and know what I'm going to do next. Or what any of the creative minds in this biz are going to do. All they can do is steal shit that is already in our rear view. By the time they steal the stuff...we are already working on new scenes and new ideas. Bottom line is the web 2.crap and torrent sites have ZERO creativity. And you're right, there are plenty of toothless, classless, cheapskate people out there who drink cheap beer, never leave a tip, smoke generic cigarettes, drive shitty cars, have zero ambition, and like to download stolen shit that is already "old news" and is presented out of context and thus not as titillating or sexually exciting as it was originally presented (and yeah, sex is very mental and very visual). I hope they enjoy their "new" "technology" and are feeling good about it. But true fans (and again, there ARE fans out there....both of tgps and ESPECIALLY fans of the girls in the paysites) will come to see their favorite performer and support her. I've seen that time and again. That isn't gonna change. To me THAT is the real reason NOT to fear torrent sites. They are thieves and a nuisance. But they are not creative and they aren't inventing or creating ANYTHING new. I'm far more impressed with creativity, hard work, and attention to detail than I am a group of lpeople who can't create...which is what I consider torrent sites to be. |
the simpsons movie...woohooo!

But hey maybe you'd rather talk in private. In fact, why don't we meet up somewhere tomorrow, name a city, I'll be there. Am i involved in creative measures seo? You're fucking right I am...& I'm proud of it bitch ass. If creating thousands of pages/domains over thousands of ip's is "shady"....then o well...guess I'm guilty. Fucking homo |
