Breakthrough new RSS System from RealityCash - need feedback
 

Reality Cash is pleased to announce the introduction of RSS feeds for our sites. Not only will we be launching quality RSS feeds with plenty of text and thumbnails, we will be utilizing a system called Feed Pushers that randomly changes the structure and selection of words in a post to effectively combat many duplicate content concerns. This technology enables us to provide a fairly unique post for each affiliate, with a large selection of thumbnails also available to be randomly inserted.

To get the best advantage from this system, webmasters should use an RSS aggregator like Feed WordPress or Autoblogger Pro to pull the feeds, and then post them out to their blogs. This ensures that, as opposed to a "live" feed pulling system, you get the maximum amount of SEO benefit from having a unique post.

We will be implementing a phased integration of this system, beginning with 3 sites. These are Hardcore Partying, Right off the Boat, and one of our newest sites, Brea Bennett.

The URL's for the feeds are:

We've tested these feeds using Autoblogger Pro, but please let us know how
they work in other aggregators and on your sites. Some older browsers
aren't equipped to handle RSS feeds "out of the box," so you may not be able
to see the feeds by clicking the above links if you don't have the most
updated browser installed.

To start using these feeds with your ref codes, please visit the Reality Cash control panel and use the tools provided to generate your own custom URL's.

I need feedback on how these work and suggestions.

EDIT: Oh by the way, most RSS feeds have like 10 - 15 items in them, not just one. That makes it kind of useless for my site. :(

These feeds are launched as a phased integration. The feeds can be configured to display 1, 50, or even 100 posts. Posts will be added at a rate of 5 per week across all of the Reality Cash feeds, as per their specifications. As posts are added, you can display as many posts per feed as you'd like. I hope that makes sense.

Here is one suggestion....

because of 2257 I remove all the images in my feeds, and focus it on SEO purposes.

I noticed that only the images are linked to the galleries.... I suggest adding a text link to the gallery and the site as well in case someone like me doesnt want to show images, or if there are problems displaying them.

just my two cents ;)

Awesome idea for people who prefer no images, whatever the reason. I'm going to add the ability to disable images totally, as a matter of fact. Thanks!

Yes. There are a ton of configuration options. We'll be releasing a "customization" guide for the Feed Pushers feeds, both for Autoblogger Pro users, and those using other aggregators.

Yes I logged into Reality Cash and got the link from there, when I added the link to feedwordpress it had my username on the end of the link, but when I click on it or mouse over it , it has this link instead http://galleries.adult.com/cji/brea_...:cjsites:CJIBB

Can you ICQ me your link? Using mine in Autoblogger Pro doesn't strip the refcode at all. It preserves it, and works perfectly.

It was a pleasure speaking with you on ICQ. It's unfortunate that FeedWordPress is behaving in that manner, but from what you've told me, FWP tends to screw up a lot of your URL's. We'll continue to work with you to see if either of us come up with anything. Please keep me in the loop of any support requests to the FWP team, or anything of that nature, but as is sometimes the problem with "free" software, I won't hold my breath on them replying.

If you notice, in the links, it shows my ref code. It's pulling it from the URL I got from inside of the Reality Cash control panel.

feedwordpress is infamous for stripping and messing with affiliate codes

Edgeprod, my feeds seem to be working fine now, I just installed the WP-o-matic plugin and uninstalled feedwordpress and now my feeds work properly, it was definitely FWP that was stripping the code.

Lens...excellent choice in partnership on the RSS project. Edgeprod and I speak fairly frequently and I know the guy knows his shit backwards and forwards.

We will put them into use on JQMedia and report back problems / praise in this thread!

Unfortunately, yes, it is, and it's one of the reasons I wrote Autoblogger Pro Stand Alone -- I couldn't continue to use a "free" feed aggregator despite its problems and still claim I was serious about my business.
