Guys - What films have made you cry?

I was just on IMDB and I was looking up some information on Field of Dreams to settle a debate I was having with somebody. Anyway, the forum on IMDB for the film is full of men saying it is the only movie that has ever made them cry (the scene at the end with his dad).

So, I was wondering which films have made the guys here cry?

I'm not ashamed to say I cried watching La vita e bella by Roberto Benigni.

That movie is hilarious and very sad at the same time. One of the best movies I've ever seen. The guy is a genius.

cry is too strong a word.
"field of dreams" when "Moonlight" Graham steps across the foul line to save Ray's daughter from choking.

"the natural" when Roy Hobbs hits the home run at the end.

"Forrest Gump" when Forrest asks Jenny if their son is smart.

Peaches 07-30-2007 05:46 AM

Guys I've known almost ALL cried during Brian's Song and Field of Dreams with the former being more likely to bring the "man tears" ;)

bronco67 07-30-2007 06:31 AM

Start Trek 2: Wrath of Khan --Spock's funeral, when the bagpipes kick in, until the camera ends up on the Genesis planet.

It's really sad, but what always brings a tear to my eye is the how the filmmaking just comes together in a pretty awesome way. The music and editing just kick ass and its one of the great movies sequences of all time.

That's gotten me in the past.

I would not say a tear jerker, but I do get a little choked up at the end of Independence Day when Bill Pullman is giving the Independence Day speech, and the dad dies.
