Just two 'nautical stars' right now ~ one over each hip bone. I'm thinking about what's going to be next, how big it'll be, and where I'll put it.

It's possible I'll get a cherub centered on the very base of my lower back as I've been collecting little wall mounted cherubs since I was 9 and have about 8 of them so far.
Or maybe an ankle band with some water signs or sea life, as I dig a few different water sports...

I had the same problem trying to pic my tat. Being girls we can get away with more but we tend to put more thought into what we have indelibly placed on our bodies. I've got a Piglet on my back just above my right hip. A bit silly but its been one of my nicknames for years and is my favourite character. I've been thinking about what to get next. I've got a friend who's got henna-like designs on her foot in colours rather than in traditional henna brown. I really like this idea but don't wanna be a copycat. I've been a fan of henna for years and love the way it looks but I'm worried hands and feet being so visible I might get sick of it being permanent as opposed to the changeable nature of henna tattoos themselves. Oops, rambled a bit there.

Anyway, I'm not in any rush. Loads of time to think about these things.

don't get a butterfly.... old news, way overdone, and extremely cheesy....

tribal is always cool, and very versatile and customizable.... but can be overly heavy on a chick if not done right.... make sure your artist knows his shit if you do anything like that though.... if you get a butterfly or something, pretty much any tattooist with a week of experience can slap on some flash off the wall for ya.

This is where I get worried. My hubby has some VERY nice tattoos done by a couple of very talented artists. Seeing what he has and how crap all the flash looks puts me off most local tattoo shops. We rarely even go into anywhere now unless its got a good amount of photos on display.

I have 3 tats so far, a Haida wolf on my left shoulderblade, an Inuit Wolf on my right & on my chest it looks like I've been cut open with a Canadian Flag Underneath... I have plans for more...
