at home? 93 or 94 I think . . . I don't remember if I had it when I was married or not.

94-95 rigged through my friend's aol account at the time, because the parents didn't trust that thar internets...

Bud got an internet jack for fingering and telnet and such on his BBS in 90-or-so.

Wasn't really impressed with the internet until the interweb hit the streets.

Been communicating via modem, though, since the late 70's.

1998 for me, and been addicted ever since!

around 1992, we had a family computer for a while and my elementary school french teacher talked to me and my father about "telecommunications" and got us onto bulletin board systems. god i feel old and geeky! :)

I got on the net shortly after 33.6kbps modems came out... whatever the fuck year that was I don't know. Downloading porn off usenet at blistering speeds! :1orglaugh

late 90's before I really got online!

My first modem was a 300 baud modem and I paid around $100 for it.

depends what you mean by the internet ..I guess '95 for the 'net' but I was on BBS systems for a few years before that.

I was on Compuserver I think in 93/94 and built a web page on their Ourworld network (basically, an early free hosting service). Problem was Compuserve bundled NCSA Mosaic as the browser - it wasn't until I found Netscape 1.0 that I really got into the Internet...

I've done ok. But what I might have done keeps me awake at night sometimes...

mid/late 80s, i was on a BBS and someone gave out the telnet to cornell univ. internet... i remember looking up microsoft.com back then registering domains was free =/ only if i would of known that the text based internet would involve.

95/96 on aol

I did data transfers to a company in Texas and Ohio in 1985. Used a cutting edge 286AT, 640k ram, 1.44 fdd, 40 meg hd. Had a 14.4 external modem with a ded data(clean) line. I had the system built in LA for $2600 :Oh crap

till have the book to this day, pretty funny.
