-there is much more to it than what is mentioned
-most people charge $100+ for this
-I don't have ONE unsatisfied customer out of 40 in the past 2 weeks
-I ever have full time bloggers using me on a consistent basis that keep coming back

thanks for the bump though, if you didn't want to use my service, a simple no would have been fine

So you drop a few backlinks and ping it out. yay. I still contest that you're overcharging.

thats great, what is the url to your service that we can compare?

I am charging less that ANY other blog guy for this, why are you giving ME shit?

there is a price for everything and I charging BELOW industry standards, and I even create a custom header for the blogs I work on...and last I checked a header design by any design house is $50-75 on it's own...i do that as an extra

would you be happy if I charged $20 for this? would that make your night go smoother? obviously I have upset you in some way

funny though, cause I don't have ONE SINGLE customer that is upset, yet a typical gfy troll is upset even though he was never planning to use any service like this

Ok now I can go to bed laughing.

Also, I never said you weren't the cheapest solution for this. I think it's just a crock. Webmasters are getting lazier and lazier.

you trolled a thread I started

instead of speaking how you felt and giving good reasoning behind it, you discouraged others from using my services....THAT is trolling

yes, I provide a service to make it easier on webmasters to have something and installed and configured...oh well

most of my clients are already well off enough to afford to pay others to do little tasks for them....have you never paid someone to do a little task for you just to make sure it is done right when you don't have time? I know I have...

Jace 05-14-2007 02:59 AM

BTW

thanks for the bumps

It just seems like you tout this as some sort of magic blog service, and I find it comical.

Now stop bitching before I write a script to do a wordpress install with everything you offer preconfigured along with a guide on how to spam backlinks for fun and profit.

For some wordpress "seo" plugins give this place a whirl:

You fail to realize a few things.
1. Most people are busy making money some other way, so $75 for having a fully functional blog is chump change.
2. Just because YOU know how to do all of the above and it takes you 15 minutes to do it, doesn't mean the average webmaster does. Looking for the right plugins alone could take several hours.

Put it this way, a doctor will charge you $30-70 for a routine check up and you get the pleasure of getting fingered up the ass. It takes five minutes. Does that mean anyone can do themselves it and save their money? :winkwink:

I see a flaw in your logic: a doctor has gone through years of training, the patient hasn't. He's catering to webmasters, people who do this for a living and should have a clue about what the fuck they're doing. I'm not trying to bash Jace here, my real problem lies with the stupidity and incompetence of most people trying to be webmasters today. They want everything done for them and cry if their dicks aren't held the entire way. But fuck, if Jace can get people to give him $75 for a wordpress install, more power to him.

And looking for the right plugins? The average webmaster has to be smart enough to google "wordpress seo" or something similar and trudge through the results.

Brujah 05-14-2007 04:46 AM

Jace, how does the RSS thing work? Are you using feedwordpress or something similiar?

Klen 05-14-2007 05:23 AM

Great i cant wait to chargeback you.Kidding hehe

Jace 05-14-2007 08:40 AM

I am not going to sit here and argue back and forth about why people are happy with my services, or the state of the adult industry

the last person I worked with was a tgp guy. He had never done a blog before. I did my thing, all the while explaining to him what I was doing and how he can get better ranks in the engines. When I was done i sat with him for an hour on icq walking him through how to login and post to his blog, along with do other cool shit he had no idea how to do.
I also took a little extra time and changed over a lot of stuff that I didn't have to, at no extra charge, because he asked

name ONE other person that will spend a few hours on a "simple" blog install, for a total newbie, and make sure they are comfortable with the work I did?

you can dog me all you want dissipate, but fact remains every single person I work with is EXTREMELY happy with the service I provide, because not only do I install a blog, get it completely ready for the SE's, but I also sit with my clients and help and teach them, because majority of the time they have never logged into wordpress in their life

I give people that have never set up a blog in their life an excuse to give it a shot and my service makes sure it is done right THE FIRST TIME and they don't have to sit for 2 days trying to make sure they configured and install everything correctly

dissipate, you may be the god of webmasters, and next time I need rsstoblog mass installer installed and configured correctly I will come to you, because after all that is a webmaster tool and webmasters should know how to install and use all webmaster tools...but look man, I provide a service to those that need this service for one reason or another, and you coming in here and knocking that service just cause you are bitter towards me or the industry in general is just absurd, and I would appreciate it if you left this thread alone from now on

Kimo 05-14-2007 08:50 AM

bump for Jace, hes a good guy and knows his shit when it comes to blogs and rss

i highly reccommend his services

Screaming 05-14-2007 08:53 AM

looks like a fair price imho

Sosa 05-14-2007 09:31 AM

jace is good in my books. $75 is a fair price for someone that hasn't messed with blogs or wordpress etc.

tony286 05-14-2007 09:41 AM

Jace does great work

IllTestYourGirls 05-14-2007 09:47 AM

Jace I was just thinking about you today. I will be hitting you up for a blog or two when I have the time to start them up.

I have only heard good things about what you do :thumbsup

ultimatebbwdotcom 05-14-2007 10:35 AM

The time/money factor is irrelevant - people pay for knowledge that they don't have or convenience. So when the inexperienced or busy end user gets a working product very quickly the $75 is justified.

If a person knows how to do and doesn't want to pay it, do it yourself. If you cant do it and dont want to pay....go and learn.

Sounds a fair price to me.

vidvicious 05-14-2007 11:29 AM

I just started working on my WP blog .. I've never done a blog and am not a computer savy person to say the least .. I did need someone to upload wp to my server But after doing lots of reading and fuckin around in wp I was able to customise my site and add plug ins without too much problems .. however this took about 2 - 3 hours to do. I got a shit connection at home! ... I would of gladly paid 75$ for this however I never wouldn t of learned anything about wp as I have now.

Nice service Jace .. Even nicer links dissipate Thanks!

munki 05-14-2007 11:29 AM

I agree

The very definition of his handle DISSIPATE:

1. to scatter in various directions; disperse; dispel.
2. to spend or use wastefully or extravagantly; squander; deplete: to dissipate one's talents; to dissipate a fortune on high living.
?verb (used without object) 3. to become scattered or dispersed; be dispelled; disintegrate: The sun shone and the mist dissipated.

Sucks for him that he has nothing positive to contribute

OH and congrats Jace! The service looks like good value for money and something a lot of us can use :thumbsup

Wow, you've learned how to use dict.org im impressed.

Not all contributions have to be positive. Too many GFY posts are littered with useless asskissing from people who don't have any clue what the fuck they're talking about.

Well? Yes. Almost as well as he does. But when there's money on the line, it just makes sense to at least have him look over things.

Consultants are the same. You can hire them to look over things or you can hire them to do the work.

$75 for a software install? Reasonable. We've paid more for less and been quite happy.

$75 for hearing which modules work, which don't, and which will get you banned?

$75 for tips from a guy who is actually making money doing exactly what you are trying to do? Well, I don't know if this is worth it. Let's run the numbers.

$75 divided by $30 per signup = 2.5 signups.

Do you think you can make an additional 2.5 signups by having this guy install this software right away, get the right modules and get them working, and some helpful tips?

I can tell you that I spent $75 on dinner tonight and, while good, Prime Rib sent me zero signups today. I'm hopeful for tomorrow.
