CLIFF NOTES:

I met this drop dead beautiful chick in the Philippines. Of course I was tappin that shit silly trying to make babies, but she already had plans to go to Spain to get a job and work.

She finished school for nursing, packed up and went to Spain. Lucky for her, she has an aunt that lives there, otherwise she would be FUCKED.

So, I lost contact with her for a few months and finally we ended up chatting online. I'm asking her about Spain and her new job, and to my surprise this ho didn't have a job yet.

DWB: So how's your new job?

Filipino: I don't have one.

DWB: Why not.

Filipino: It's not easy you know to work here without a work permit, and I don't speak Spanish so I can not communicate.

DWB: You went to Spain to work without a work permit AND you don't know how to speak Spanish?

Filipino: Yes. It's very hard here.

DWB: Are you fucking with me? You can't even speak Spanish and you WENT TO SPAIN to work as a nurse, with Spanish speaking people????

Filipino: Yes. But now I stay with my aunty all day and speak Tagalog with her, so I'm not learning much.

I did not reply for a few minutes.

Filipino: < ding >

DWB: Look, I gotta go. I don't know what to say.

Filipino: ok love, wish me luck! God bless.

DWB: I would, but you wouldn't know what to do with it if you had it.

I'm living in spain and lots of people lives here without speaking spanish or having prober papers... All depends on where you come from. Coming to a country like Spai, but not speaking the language or having papers might be a big step up the ladder for some of these peole.

Turn it around and she is actually a brave girl taking a big chance for a better life.

I would never move to another country without trying to learn some of the language. It's fucking stupid and about the only job you can get without speaking the native tongue is something really shitty. I can't believe so many people do it.

Some people amaze me. I met a chick last summer when I was downtown at a food festival. We talk, she takes my number and calls me. We go out and on the date she tells me that she is living in a battered women's shelter. I think she must have an ugly story to tell then she proceeds to tell me that the reason is because she moved here from out of state, used up all her money to get here and moved in with a friend. The friend lives in an apartment. The apartment manager finds out she is living there and tells her she can't stay there unless she was on the rental agreement. But her credit is so bad they won't add her to the rental agreement. so now she has no money and nowhere to go. So she goes to social services, lies and tells them that she moved here to escape her boyfriend that beat her up.

So now the taxpayers are paying to house and feed her and they are getting her an apartment that she has to pay next to nothing for, food stamps, health insurance and welfare for a few months until she gets a job all because she lied. I was so pissed I just got up and left. she doesn't think ahead and plan and make sure that she has a place to stay and that everything is okay as far as standing here and now we get to pay for her mistake.
