http://www.coldwellbankeratlanta.com...308028.000.jpg
Five bedroom, three bath with an unfinished basement on a half acre lot in a country club community. What do you think? _ |
too many darkies and too many broken down cars on the side of the expressways in atlanta
|
i wanna see the inside and the surrounding neighbourhood etc.
|
I used to live in the ATL.
Freaknick was the best! |
you get a hell of a bang for your buck in certain atlanta locations. roswell is really nice and affordable.

Where is it Jim? Lots of neighborhoods you can buy a big house for cheap - and there's usually a reason. Generally south=bad, north=good (but there are exceptions to both rules).
Do what my brother and SIL did - they drove around neighborhoods they liked and wrote letters to people whose houses they liked. They ended up finding a guy who had an immediate transfer to Denver. My brother offered him $300K - final. Appraisal was at $340K and it's gone up substantially in the 5 years since then (5 BR, 5 BA in Alpharetta on 1/2 acre). Meanwhile, someone else in this biz bought a house about 4 years ago south of ATL and broke even when they sold recently. |
Great house!!!
|
great looking home ... lawn looks like a pain in the ass to mow though ;)

I have lived and raised my kids in this area and would recommend it as one of the best suburbs in the U.S. _ |
Cool :thumbsup

I love the deck and the kitchen!!
|
That money gets me a small 1 bedroom in LA :)

Very nice house
|
A house like that in Glendale, CA with a lot size of half acre is around 2.2 to 2.5 million easy.
btw thats a nice looking house. |
Damn, that's a much nicer house then 382k buys up here in New England.
|
wow, seriously amazing!
|
Yea.. nice house..
Errr.. Darkies? R |
Nice, I was in Savvannah recently same story I think huge new houses for not a lot of money
|
|
wow thats an amazing house. 382k is cheap where i come from for a house like that
|
that would go for around 600k here in montreal
|
Looks awesome, and very cheap too!
|
that would go for about a million over here. fuck that!
|
wow thats gorgeous house for the price.
|
I say great deal :) - nice place!
You should see the house I just bought for $275k in Buckeye, AZ.. nothing spectacular (4 bdrm, 2200 square, 2.5 bath, corner lot) |
Cobb County = shitty traffic, worse than LA if you ask me. The GA400 is nothing but hateful.
Other than that, the house is sharp, and once again it fcuking amazes me how you can't get indoor plumbing in my neighborhood for less than 700k, but you can get that much house in a decent neighborhood outside of Cali. |
Wow nice house for the money!
DH |
Not bad! Do you take epassporte?
|
I want that.

Prices here in the SF Bay Area are still incredibly high. It's very difficult to even find a decent condo under half a million.
It's all supply & demand here, though, as our population keeps going up and as they say "they're not making any more land". I have noticed a few friends moving out to Arizona the last few years where prices are more in line with the OP's example, even if it doesn't come with acreage. I think a friend bought one in the 300-400 range bordering a golf course about a year ago there. As for the other poster's comments on neighborhood, I wouldn't want to spend alot on any home in a low socio-economic bordered area...I don't care what color it is. Great example are some of the new homes they built in the East Bay. Brand new, large, shiny. Just beyond the block walls of the gated community is the same poor community that's been there for decades, except they some of them are jealous and pissed off at rubbing elbows with the people who have "so much more" than them. |
Nice place.. didn't see square footage, what's it around 3k?
I've heard that some caution should be used in golf course communities because if it goes under, there's no telling what that same land could be used for. But of course there's that risk with anything nowadays.. so.. |
Very Nice.Buy it.
|
not bad at all :)
