are you aware a lot of people outside US or Europe (and not ALL of Europe) only can use this sort of services instead of Epoch or CCBill? I've never used them, but I can understand people who does. Now, if you're in US... well , you kinda of deserve it

Its really an unfortunate situation and sucks for everyone that will suffer because of it. I personally did business with quite a few people that used MVC/PM and I can't even imagine the headaches their experiencing right now.

Situations like this are perfect examples of why its very important to fully investigate any company that your business relies on. Processing, hosting, sponsors, content producers, the list goes on and on.

we have a winner. I have accounts with strompay, paypal, ikobo (old), xoom and paymonde for dvd sales. CCbill for the paysite. Once again a fucking know it all

I was one of those Paymonde People. I was referred by a fellow Webmaster. I was in the Process of Leaving and going else where, but I acted too slow.

I am not bitter that the monies are gone, but that I have to now carefully choose a Better Merchant company. Whose to say that they wont flake either.

That is a real interesting perspective. Here is my take on it:


Stupid fucks like you are what opitimize what is wrong with this industry. No one said we are 'brothers' but there is power in numbers and if there are a group of scammers or thieves somewhere, those that were victimized need to band together. You yourself are not immune to getting ripped off or having to make a stand for what is right, however clever you think you may be. For example, fighting .xxx, Acacia, or ibill or a potentially draconian law passed by the administration. People in this industry need to band together. The situation with ibill; there is no way anyone had the foresight to see it coming. Did you get taken by them? I bet if you had, you would have a different attitude. Also, like some people pointed out Paymonde dealt in shipped good, hence the reason for them vs. ccbill or epoch.

For me personally, scammers, thieves and cheats sicken me. I don't care what industry it is in; if I can make an effort to put an end to it, I will. Yet another way to look it is look how hard you work for your honest money (assuming you do), and these criminals just come in and swipe people's livelihood. It's bullshit to the nth degree.

Ibill was NEVER on my legit list of processors. Ibill was built on scamming and spam. I know... i was there. I was one of them doing the mailing and for all the stuff i did that i regret... i was NEVER even remotely close to doing the shit that others i knew where with Ibill's full consent and support. It was a company built on spam and billing for questionable content (scat, beast etc) - nothing more. It was never a sustainable business to begin with. They were always assholes and scammers. What made the situation worse was that they sold an unsustainable business built on scamming, and gave the clueless masses hope that somehow things would be better. Then what? late payments... 900 money gone.... more late payments, more horrible excuses and lies and so on.

I can understand if there are no alternatives... but holy shit. there are people here to this day that defend Ibill... that sums up this industry well.

As much dirt as i know about people and companies... I don't know a single bad thing about Epoch.

Well it must be tough being jesus's son, however for the rest of us, there are times when some people do get scammed in this industry. Not sure what your analogy of the Titanic has ANYTHING to do with combining resources, information and strategy with other webmasters that is getting ripped off by Paymonde. I'm quite sure no one did business with Paymonde knowing they are/were snakes. We are doing something about it with every post that bring more information to light, and it's one step in the right direction.

As for being perceived as 'scum of the earth', don't follow that either. Are you suggesting that no court of law will be interested in bringing Paymonde to justice because of our industry? Last I checked, larceny and theft is criminal no matter what the background.

Your attitude is cynical, almost resigned. It's dangerous and counterproductive and more importantly, simply not true. I'll be the one that says I told you so when things catch up with Paymonde, they can't scurry around and hide forever.
