scardog 11-01-2006 04:22 PM

mardigras 11-01-2006 04:46 PM

You must be watching Fox News.:1orglaugh

What John Kerry said was he would not apologize to the administration.

Big difference in that and apologizing to troops.

Wonder why it took him so long to apologize? Couldn't he have done it yesterday? He was talking about Bush, who I guess he thinks didn't do well in school, with his degrees from Harvard and Yale? I'm sure CNN is scrambling to try to make it make sense. :thumbsup

scardog 11-01-2006 04:56 PM

Let me see if I can interpret his "apology." I am sorry you turds are so stupid and uneducated, that you didn't realize I was making a Joke about George Bush, the one who did not do well in school (Better Grades than Kerry), so he got us stuck in Iraq. See, I am sorry that you guys aren't very bright. :1orglaugh

Less than 24 hours after his first comments is not "so long to apologize".

It's quicker than Bush took to come off vacation when the gulf coast was drowning:winkwink:

Yes, unfortunately Bush couldn't take over command from your Mayor and Governor until they relinquish it. You proud of them?

Don't get me wrong, I thought every level of Government screwed up after Katrina. Can't lay that one solely on Bush's doorstep. I hope a lesson was learned that the big machine ain't gonna save you when the shit hits the fan. Also, if a cat 5 is bearing down on you, and you live below sea level, get out if you can. If you can walk out when the water is up to your neck, you can walk out before the storm hits.

Umm...You made the claim, and you want me to back it up? :(

CIA leak? It was Armitage that leaked the name of Valerie Plame. You didn't get the word? Clinton holdover Armitage who was against the war in Iraq. You really gotta stop watching CNN if you ever want the rest of the story.

I realize that you probably don't have the will or capacity to research yourself.

So, you just need to click on the link

Nice try. Which flip flop do you think is the worst? Same sex marriage or creating a homeland security department?

If you make a claim, you need to back it up. I guess that is a new concept to you.

I love your examples, and your source. CBS News. The same guys that make up documents and pretend they are real. I bet you never heard about that story did you? :1orglaugh

Winning the War on Terror

"I don't think you can win it," Mr. Bush said of the war on terror in August. In an interview on NBC's "Today" show, he said, ?I think you can create conditions so that . . . those who use terror as a tool are less acceptable in parts of the world."

Before the month closed, Mr. Bush reversed himself at the American Legion national convention in Nashville. He said: "We meet today in a time of war for our country, a war we did not start yet one that we will win." He later added, ?we are winning, and we will win."
FlipFlop enough ????

News outlets ignored Bush flip-flop on oil reserves

Summary: In reporting on President Bush's announcement that he would suspend fuel deposits into the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in an effort to reduce rising gasoline prices, numerous news outlets failed to note that Bush had previously criticized both the Clinton administration and Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) for proposing to use the reserve to lower prices.

really getting boring all those flip-flops .... :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

BTW, I think that the democrats should lockup Kerry .... I posted here, in 2004, that if ever the Dems and Kerry would win, the first job to do would be to replace Kerry ... He is a lousy politician.

Bush is staying the course. His course is victory in Iraq. He stopped using stay the course because the left was effective in convincing many people that we are losing the war. The tactics for war are fluid, and constantly must change for victory. He needed a better phrase that captures the essence of warfare for people that think surrender is the best way to win the war on Terror. If his spokesman says he didn't say it, then his spokesman is wrong. He said it many times.

taboo_gal 11-01-2006 06:01 PM

My :2 cents: is the news will never give us the whole story. One party or another/one governmental department or another will spin the truth into what they want us to think is the truth. Don't look to politicians to give truth or consistency for that matter. They are moved in one direction or another by those padding their campaign account. They all have flip-flopped at one point or another. Yeah, some are worse than others, but they all do it.

Ok, so that was about a quarter's worth. Am I flip-flopping now? :1orglaugh

Come on. This is getting silly. Using the strategic patroleum reserve during a war in the middle east, and a cat 4 in the gulf, is a little different than using it during sex with interns.

I'm sure we agree on many things Direct, but we do have different political perspectives, obviously. Kerry has always seemed like an arrogant Jerk to me, regarless of which party he is in. Bush spends like a drunken liberal. I don't approve of many things Bush does, but when it comes to draining the swamp in the middle east, I back what he is doing, and wish he would do more.
