The Bible today in its many forms says many, many different things. The Dead Sea Scrolls as well as many other manuscripts that have been found over the years and translated have shown that today's versions just do not reflect what was written. They have been altered over time, either by people's poor translation, or their own skewed agendas.

In the dark ages, the Bible would only be written in Latin so that the common man could not read the contents and the ruling law could govern what or what they did not know.

Keeping said people on the boards an in someway connected to the "community" is obviously a recruirment technique by the group that has 'saved' those that have joined them. I wish them well in their spiritual journey but don't like those obvious methods.
