Do You Think GFY Needs A 1,000 Post Rule?
 

Ok, the front page has been flooded the past few weeks with:

----100 Posts----

----200 Posts----

----300 Posts----

It's been a flood of what are mostly surfers, or surfer like creatures, it seems like.

Do you think GFY needs a rule that says you can only post such threads on multiples of 1,000?

Sure.. but it would be a pain to enforce.

I think a "rule" would be a little extreme.

Oh the excitment of the first 100.... Agree - leave it to 1000 post milestones. Just make it a rule. Rules are violated every day. The board can self police a bit and when someone points out the error of your ways, it hurts your Q factor and makes ya look stupid. It would also make more people read the rules.

hey, let people post whatever they want to post. and 100 posts is a great achievement for some people.

I only 'celebrated' when I got to 1,000 posts, and only plan to do so again when I reach the 5,000 mark.

I don't really give a fuck if n00bs are starting threads every 100 or 50 posts, simply don't open those threads if they annoy you.

So if some guy or gay posts thread about his 200 posts everything would be fine by the rules no?
For example 0.2 multiplied by 1000 is 200 :error

Yep, tho thats just one of the few things that keep the bullshit:good post ratio high...GFY needed a crapload of rules (but I understand why nobody would want to enforce them)

A temporary ban for people starting 100, 200, 300, 400, etc thread should fix the problem.
