Why are black people always taking everything as being racist? The cristal guys comments where not racist at all, rappers are not a race and nothing was mentioned on skin colour.

I've never drank Cristal in my life so I guess I'm boycotting it too :)

Jay-Z is a businessman before anything else, and like any good entreprenuer, he refused to promote something without getting paid for his efforts.

While he was making money selling it at his club, I doubt he will lose sleep over the 50-100K/year.

Cristal does not make its money off the hip-hop crowd; their broke and too young as a whole for that product. Cristal's brand image was shifting and that would obviously be a blow to the bottom line.

If you put a little Red Bull in your champagne, it all tastes pretty close after the first hour. A la carte, Dom Rose is the choice.

Joking aside (yes the circumstance is odd/funny), but I actually do think Jay-Z's stance has some merit. If you read what was said, and understand how much of an impact rappers have on mainstream culture & buying trends you will understand what a slap in the face this is.

Decade later that same company in a roundabout way says "they are embarrassed" to have such a large urban demographic. It's ridiculous. Yes, and I'm an irish white guy who typically doesn't give two shit for boycotts/anything with racial overtones.

Tattengers is a better choice, for mid-range champagne. Cristal is all about the pretty bottle.

Cristal made a blunder. Who are they to pick and choose? Money is green, no matter who spends it. They should have been more appreciative of all of their customers. They look like a bunch of snobs.

Well as an aspiring rapper, I've never cared for Cristal. My shit says Mogan David or I don't drink it.

There are so many better vineyards out there - and bottles in the $20-40 range that taste way better and are 10 times the wine - its all about hype and a bunch of sheep that think they have to spend huge amounts of money to look cool - even Dom sucks compared to the cheaper stuff but again it was the "cool" thing to have because celebrities would pay for it - waste of money

Louis Roederer makes other Champagne aside from Cristal that is under 80 bucks a bottle and good.

If you can't tell the difference between 15 bucks worth of sparkling wine and a $400 bottle of "Cris" or don't care.... than you shouldn't be drinking it anyway.

Same with Hennesey if you don't know what VO and XO means and can't tell the difference between that and hooch whiskey.. then drink something you like cuz you want to drink it.
