Win $2,500----LOFTS.com----Logo and CIP Design Contest----Win $2,500

We need a logo and CIP

(Corporate Identity Profile) this includes:

Logo
#10 Envelope
Letter Head
Business Card

We are launching "Lofts.com" and there is $2,500 up for grabs for the winning logo and CIP. The site will be a mainstream Loft Real Estate Website. The logo will need to be clear at all sizes. Please use premium mainstream companies as your model to design off. Think of ebay, yahoo, realestate.com, zillow.com, gap.com etc

Our competition starts now and will go for 2 weeks due to the depth and quality that we are after.

The $2,500 prize will be paid to the winning logo and CIP only if we choose to use that logo and CIP for our launch. The winner will be required to provide the source files for the logo.

No offence, but that website/service is a horror. I made about 3 accounts now, login in works sometimes, then, it logs me out again. The account switches from designer to ... contest... it is just... very very strange.

I tried it in IE and FF.

And that's why there is a support link on every page? you can create a ticket, or submit your issue in the forum, haven't heard any complaints of this sort, we are welcoming any feedback, looking to improve the system of course.

Ok, then if your partners are not fully happy with any logos on here then no one wins at all?

Just trying to understand, becase why do all this work for something that may not even be guaranteed to have a winner from here at all.

If you want my honest opinion... Stay away from using 3D images in a flat logo and adjust your colour scheme. The green doesn't match with the dark/lightblue combination.

I forgot to mention that it is better to stay with one type of font and don't mix a times new roman type font with a verdana type font. you get the point.

Looks nice. However those appear to be townhouses. In the US a loft means something much different. They tend to be wide open spaces occupying the majority of a floor of a multi-level urban building with very few walls or structure. Also they usually are in the industrial districts of a city, hence very flat roofline profiles.

"A large open space in a factory, warehouse or other commercial space, or a type of residence that results from the conversion of such a room. Such spaces generally contain very high ceilings, large windows, and concrete floors and ceilings.

Originally popular with artists, they are now highly sought-after by well-off bourgeois bohemians, and the gentrification of the former manufacturing sectors of large cities is now a familiar pattern."

Not a slam at all btw, in fact I think the identity is strong - just slightly off the mark. :2 cents:
