Best and Worst Hosting Companies
 

Hi Guys,

I'm in the market for new hosting.

Would appreciate some feedback on your best hosting company experiences so that I consider those folks when making a decision.

Would appreciate even more if you share your worst hosting company experiences, Cliffnotes versions please, so that I don't waste my time with those since moving hosting is such an undertaking.

Most important thing is the Tech Support, 2nd would be pricing.

No plugging your buddies company please, he he he! I am looking for a few folks to share actual true stories, best and worst experiences to help me make a better decision.

I have a server co-located at www.nakedhosting.com , have used them for like 6 years now I think, never any problems, very good and fast tech support. I would recommend them, I do not know how their pricing stacks up against anyone else since I have not researched anyone else, no need to when I dont have any reason to move.

From personal experience,

Best: m3server.com. Yes, I rep them, but am also a customer.

Worst: Hivelocity. For my future amusement, I've saved every bit of every email trail from every nightmare encountered my few months there.

best hosting company around is www.webair.com

Webair- Tech support is average but their speeds aren't the best.

Realitychecknetworks- Tech support is decent and I haven't had any problems with them so far

jupiterhosting & splitinfinity- I've heard mixed stories about them.

If price is not really a concern I would go with swiftwill and nationalnet.

if they are still around, iic internet is/was the worst hosting company I ever used.

Phatservers has been a very good host, great support.

In my experience

Best: Webair (Mike will take care of you and go the extra mile for you)

Worst: Easily reliablehosting.com/xxxwebhosting.com. The level of incompetance, ignorance and downtime there blew me away.

I have nothing bad to say about any hosting company, but nothing but GREAT things to say about NATNET, they are first-class all the way!

I've had my share of problems with webair.

NationalNet comes first... (pretty much every BIG playa will agree, most of them are using them) but you gotta pay the price there.

Like I said ... any big guy in this industry would agree.

Best: Natnet and www.isprime.com
Worst: so many IIC internet for example, nightmare...

Leslie in all my years I have not come across someone who has not gone as far and above to make sure I am taken care then Split Infinity Chris without even thinking put his personal time aside and took great care of me.

He went out of his pocket and his way to hop a plane and take care of a very damaging situation.

I can honestly say if you want someone who is going to fully take care of you, and make you feel like you are part of the family then you should very much consider Split Infinity.

In no particular order, what I'd say are best overall...

Phatservers -- I've known Moose for years, and he's never failed to come through for anything quickly.

Jupiter - Poppy, Ray and now KC over there, you can't go wrong at all.

Cavecreek - always have the love for the gang over there, I spent two years seeing firsthand how they run their business.

WebAir -- one of my clients is using them now and has nothing but good things to say about them

ISPrime -- another great group that works hard on their business

MojoHost -- Brads easily accessible and goes out of his way to make things work

Natnet is of course someone you'd want to compare prices, plans and uptime against anyone else.

No time for a story, but for small sites I recommend servage. Top notch!

www.realitychecknetwork.com - Just the best for me over the years. Excellent support...........

In my experience, Techie Media has been my host of choice simply because they know what they're doing and have AWESOME tech support. It's nice to know that they hire guys who actually know what they're doing and don't mind going the extra mile to make sure the client is happy.

Umm...well I definitely know I am best at breaking a couple of champagne glasses...lol

www.isprime.com Denis knows how to run a show over there, and they just completed their own brand new datacenter. ALOT of big time programs host thier, along with some massive mainstream companies such as casio.com :2 cents:
