I expected Trump to take both .... They were exceptional ...

He was going to. That was the twist that NBC was promoting on their ads. But then he asked Randall if he should hire her and he pissed on the twist by saying no Trump shouldn't hire her. LOL! Then Trump was caught off guard and backed out of the hire of Rebecca. The Donald was caught with his pants down, so to speak. I thought it was pretty petty of Randall to insist on Trump not hiring her as she was as good as he was.

But The Apprentice is going downhill as it is. Its tanking in the ratings and getting hammered by CSI all the time. Don't even be surprised if you hear in the next few months that NBC won't be having it back. Things are going to change big time now at NBC as its finishing last as a network, & things are going to be revamped. The Apprentice is dying out, and Trump knows it.

Randall was an ass and after Trump raised her expectations by suggesting he would hire her .. once idiotic statement "it's not the Apprenti" he totally ruined his nice guy image.

Lets admit it........the show is getting lamer and lamer.......I think even Trump senses it and thats why the season was shortened with his mass firings. He's sitting on a product that is going downhill fast in the ratings, and thus the advertisers will be paying out drastically less for next season.....and thats IF there is a next season. NBC may be getting ready to pull the plug.

The concept of the show is for Trump to groom someone to follow in his footsteps. Someone young is more likely to make a good apprentice than someone who is fully formed.

Even so, perhaps Randal did deserve to win and he did win, but he really didn't have to shut Rebecca out. Doing so came across really slimy after he had told her over and over how great he thought she was. Trump prizes loyalty and Randal just really actively didn't show it.

I really really liked Randal before those last few minutes of the season and now it seems like his whole nice guy in business routine was a total act.

In my opinion, I think Randal should have expressed that he knew Trump was busy and had limited time and he hoped to benefit from Trump's guidance and wisdom as his Apprentice, but there is no reason why Rebecca should not also be hired to work on the project she chose, just not as his Apprentice because Randal was really looking forward to being Trump's Apprentice. Randal could even have suggested that Trump hire Rebecca to work for Randal. Yes, I've had time to think about what the "right" answer would have been, but surely Randal had to have considered it.

I think Trump should have said, "Well Randal, this might be the first time I'm going to overrule you." and then hired Rebecca for the jersey buildings project.
