Is it fair that usa killed 30k iraq's and after finding out that...

they did not have any mass destruction weapons?

Not counting all the young usa military soldiers that will not come home
for the holidays.

I'm not a political buff...but after reading that topic on the news today i wonder
what is really going on...can someone inlight me?

Here is what i think all this is about "OIL" that is being stolen every day.

StickyGreen 12-12-2005 10:10 PM

i was watching abc nightly news tonight and they were showing how many aspects of iraqi's lives have dramatically improved since saddam was in power...

just because everyone hates bush doesn't mean there isn't good coming from all of this...

YUP :thumbsup

But don't forget, it's also about distracting the american people away from all of the other failures of this jackass.

Nader 12-12-2005 10:15 PM

it's good to see all the opinions...not taking sides here but am sad for all
the dead peeps.

baddog 12-12-2005 10:32 PM

I have to ask if you have any idea what percentage of our oil comes from Iraq.

PixeLs 12-12-2005 11:50 PM

A totalfailure since the means were never justified.. :(

Eric 12-12-2005 11:53 PM

You may want to look into the numbers a little more. 30k Iraqis dead doesn't mean the US killed them all.

Like everything else they toutch... will be a failure

You and I know that if this keeps going the way it is right now, they'll loose the power and never be able to get it back. If you guys don't stay there to rebuild, and if the UN don't go help the US rebuild, this will turn into a massive sausage fest WWIII.

We can say all we want about thoses poor people, there are some badass rich ass motherfuckers that can obviously push some big strings ... (Arabi Saudi)

Alex 12-12-2005 11:55 PM

This topic has been beaten to death here, mostly by you.

No one is limiting your freedom to opinion, but if you really feel strongly about this then do something. Posting on GFY doesnt mean shit.

Doctor Dre 12-12-2005 11:58 PM

You know they liberated iraq but after so many years of opression, without doing something to hold the people united for years if not decades after, to give the habbit to people that you can do what you want without fear to get caught...

Saddam wasn't only the head of state, he was a fucking establishement... He had obviously a lot of people preaching for him and watching the people. You don't rule an empire like that with a weak hand and no view on the people.

I would be willing to bet Iraqis have killed more Iraqis than we have. But there would be no fun in bitching about that.

BlueDesignStudios 12-13-2005 03:05 AM

it's ok - it's a sacrifice bush is willing to make in the name of freedom

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 12-13-2005 03:44 AM

In summary...

America ( BUSH ) has killed more Iraqi's than Saddam.

KRL 12-13-2005 03:53 AM

Everyone on earth now is going to die in in the next 100 years anyway. Some get an unfortunate bump to the front of the line.

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 12-13-2005 03:54 AM

Some interesting reading on Desert Storm 1:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Desert_Storm

An estimated 90,000 Iraqi's died a year from Sanctions.

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 12-13-2005 03:55 AM

An Estimated 35,000 Iraqi's alone died in DS1.

emthree 12-13-2005 03:58 AM

Iraq is not our fucking country. We have no right to invade their country, and kill their people.
The US needs to get off this world domination shit.

adultchica 12-13-2005 04:04 AM

I am sad for every death...but especially those of our soldiers

Really hits close to home since my husband was in the military around the start of the war and my brother is in and over there right now...and a lot of my other family members are involved in this in some way.

I was also talking to a friend of mine who just got back. The soldiers morale is not high. They are only doing their jobs.

As long as the american people don't blame all this on our soldiers, and blame it on BUSH and BAD DECISIONS, then I have no beef with anyone except this administration for terrible judgement and even terrible lying.

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 12-13-2005 04:06 AM

Now between the two Bushes added deaths per year...
That family is likely responsible for the deaths of over 100K Iraqis if you count related deaths from Leukemia after DS 1, possible even 200K counting the post DS 1 years Plus the present.

This might qualify as genecide.

People wonder why Arab and Islamic Nations hate America.
Not since Hitler has such a long term atrocity happened and the Bushes effects on Iraq span two generations.

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 12-13-2005 04:09 AM

Its more than enough to make ya sick to yer stomach being an American and it must really suck to be those that support this genocide.

The thing is, Soldiers in Vietnam were disliked because they still faught a war that was wrong. They knew it. Just like American Soldiers today, they know they are fighting a war that is wrong. I do hope that Civilians do not blame them, but ultimatly it is the soldiers, the commanders on those fields that should question political authority and failing to do so forces them to fight for somthing they do not believe in.
What sets in after that?
The typical things that set in on Vietnam soldiers.

GUILT.

It is no ones "JOB" to murder people.

Fight for you're home, fight for you're life but do not fight for living and call it a job.

evanmorgan 12-13-2005 04:18 AM

right,

soldiers join the army KNOWING that they might die...they made that choice, it aint conscription...It really annoys me when familys who have lost their sons/husbands totally change their stance on the Iraqi war...puppets

Yeah! The US is killing civilians every day, great story. Although i bet more than half of these had weapons, remember, 100,000 iraqi northern guard went missing upon invasion. Basically, they went inside, put some jeans on, and hey presto, they were civilians.

Plus, that oil arguement really doesnt wash, you want me (or baddog, by the sounds of it) then just ask, or better still. Explain why you think what you do...

Just face it people...if bush went to africa, spent all his money on food, and hand fed every starving child, you would still find something wrong....

People are more anti-Bush than anti-War, but they are just too stupid to see that.

Evan

Gasper 12-13-2005 04:20 AM

jesus .. wake up US guys .. of course he's there for the OIL! He wants to secure it from the crazy Iraq people so you can drive 50 miles to your jobs every day in your big SUVs. Stop bitching bout him, he's saving your fat ass :2 cents:

I am not denying any official numbers, im just very dubious of the status of the people killed, civilians, nope!...

In my eyes, you were either for Saddams regime, or for invading and releasing the country from his grip. *Awaits, "but we went there looking for weapons of mass destruction" arguement, dont bother, thats irrelivent to what im saying....

Evan

Katrina 12-13-2005 04:33 AM

Its interesting....everyone seems to hate Bush...then WHO elected him second time? Americans got what they wanted.

emthree 12-13-2005 04:38 AM

Too much shit going on in the world.
Especially in the past year. Things are not looking very good.

It's sad, very sad :(
