Cures for toothache?
tried beer.... not working
tried liquor.... not working next? |
Cocaine.

Got a great idea for you. Something never tried in history but somehow, please don't ask me why, I'm certain that it will work.
So what is that far fetched idea you ask? Open the yellow pages book, you will see different topics listed in alphabetical order. Get to the letter "D" and search for "Dentists". Call any number and someone will give you more details. |

Dentist is the only way out.
I hate dentists and i always try to sit a tootache out hoping it goes away: it doesnt. To be more exact: the roots and nerves die eventually (= the pain goed away) but this process can take anywhere between 3-8 weeks. Until then nonstop pain. Besides you risk an infection and then shit hits the fan.. DENTIST!! |
Don't waste your money on ambesol, that's for sure...deadens the pain for all of 2 minutes.
|
100% guaranteed to work.
Clove oil - numbs it up, you wont feel a thing. You can find it at a witches herb store. |
a kick in the nuts seems to do the trick

Vicodin?

Spend the money and see a dentist. If you have an abscess you're going to need a round of antibiotics before they can even work on it. Dentists can prescribe the good drugs too, while you get rid of the infection. If you leave it alone you can get blood poisoning and die. Sounds far-fetched but think about how close your tooth is to your brain....
|
Go to the dentist - but as a temp measure dissolve an aspirin on the toothe
It tastes vile but works |
Try to clean out the cavity it will help but is only temporary. Use lots of mouth wash 5 times a day. You need to brush your teeth, even though it hurts. Use the toothpaste as mouthwash as well.

just use mouthwash. Up to a half hour at a time if you nned to. you might try some whitening strips as well. The peroxide might kill some of the pain
|
don't waste your time anymore...go out and see a dentist!
that would definitely help you out! |

Try smoking some buds.

Best thing you can really do if you have an abscess, which seems to be the case, and cant go see a dentist soon is:
Rinse the abscessed tooth often with warm water with a teaspoon of salt per cup. Take strong analgetics / anti-inflamatory meds (ibuprofen for example) although these rarely do much good in this condition, don't even bother with aspirin. Take sedatives to put you to sleep, although you will be waken up by pain once the analgetics wore off most likely but you will get some rest which will make coping with pain a bit easier. See a dentist asap! I know how fucked up teeth can be. I was at times in so much pain I ran around my house in circles because I just couldnt stand it. :( |
seriously if you have an infection in your tooth and it gets bigger you could die or get really sick if it gets to your brain. Call the dentist and tell him you have an infection. In most cases they won't work on it until the infection is gone. I had an infection in my tooth. All the mouthwash and toothpaste in the world won't get rid of the infection. you need antibiotocs. Good luck.

If you can't get in to see your dentist until Monday, go to a walk-in medical clinic. They can't fix it fr you but they can give you some pain meds to cope and start you on antibiotics so you can get it fixed faster.

I've had toothache the last few days. Always seems worse at night, and i hardly get a sleep.
Been taking painkillers to try and help it, rather than go to the dentist. I will eventually need to go though, once i build up the courage... :( |
The only combination I found that worked was rinsing with salt water and loading up on echinacea (3 capsules - 3 times a day). The echinacea is a natural antibiotic and helps kill off infection.
Usually when I felt the first twinge of a toothache comin' on, I'd start loadin' up on the echinacea for a day or two - and it'd prevent a full-blown infection/toothache. But do see a dentist. If you let infection go on too long, it gets in to your bloodstream and knocks hell outta your whole body. Been there/done that :Oh crap |
It's feeling a little better today, still swollen a bit though
I think I'm gonna try popping it later tonight Shit sucks... |
Can't you put something on your wrist to help it? Always heard abotu that, never tried it.
|
Depending on how bad the pain is, strong doses of Advil will knock it back some. I had one of these about a month ago. Advil wouldn't touch it. Fortunately a neighbor had a stash of Vicodin, and that killed the pain until I could get into the Dentist.
Get into the Dentist ASAP. I know a guy that ended up with brain damage, because he put it off too long. If the Dentist you call can't see you on Monday, keep calling others until you find one that can get you in. Over the weekend you can probably go to a minor emergency clinic to get pain killers and antibiotics. I was able to do that once. |
A Smack in the mouth might work

Loads of ambesol..... if that dont work , nothing will , and i dont mean a little , i mean gloss up your whole fuckin hand and shove it in there.
Another trick is , not just any liquor works , some things work better than others. BRANDy is the best. |

The whole side of my face is swollen :disgust |
The second best cure if you have tried everything else is , try slamming your hand in a car door.. your hand will hurt so much you will forget about the pain in your tooth.
|
If your a non-smoker , try puffing on a smoke , but dont inhale it , just let the smoke swirl around ( or a cigar is even better ) , wont work very well if you smoke though
