Plasma's burn out too fast (5-7 years). With DLP technology it is a halogen bulb which can be replaced when it burns out and you get the same quality as the day you bought it. So for me, while I cannot hang my large screen DLP on the wall, it gives me a great picture, still super small and it will last longer than the plasma.

Homer 10-24-2005 06:34 AM

congrats. huge tv :thumbsup

You really do post EVERYTHING you buy on GFY, from cars to shoes, from scarfs to TV's.
Why?

DutchTeenCash 10-24-2005 06:39 AM

Quagmire 10-24-2005 06:50 AM

I have the 43" Toshiba and I'm very happy with it.

The 62" is a Nice buy if you have a large room to put it in. If you sit closer than 10 feet to that TV its a bit blotchy, but I've found that with all LCDs, DLPs and Plasmas.

Scott McD 10-24-2005 07:04 AM

Pretty badass !!! :thumbsup

Sosa 10-24-2005 07:08 AM

congrats :)

dynastoned 10-24-2005 07:10 AM

all you need now is a $3.79 bag of potato chips to go with that.

dylan4U 10-24-2005 07:11 AM

So enjoy

gornyhuy 10-24-2005 07:36 AM

NIce... I bought the 52" last Christmas... LOVE IT.

EroticySteve 10-24-2005 07:37 AM

5 to 7 years for a plasma? I know of a few of the originals that are still going strong. I think their life may be much longer than 5 to 7 years.

Definitely... I sit as far away as I can in the room, otherwise you don't get the best clarity possible.
