Who is watching UFC this weekend?

My prediction... Lidell over Horn, 3rd round knockout

Kevsh 08-17-2005 06:14 PM

I don't see Horn winning again, Lidell knockout in the first

WebTitan 08-17-2005 06:44 PM

tough call...if horn gets him down and can keep him there, the fight is his.

PixeLs 08-17-2005 10:24 PM

I am for the one who has the best submission move.

Stamen 08-18-2005 12:38 AM

Liddel by knockout, Rd. 1

Horn hasn't won against anybody worth a crap in years. And we all know how much better Liddel is now then from back in '99 when he had first started.

CybermedAndy 08-18-2005 01:39 AM

Horn by decision

:2 cents:

reed_4 08-18-2005 05:34 AM

your prediction would be impossible man.

Extreme Nate 08-18-2005 06:00 AM

Lidell will take it

PrintAdult-Sales 08-18-2005 06:36 AM

it could go eaither way!

Lance69 08-18-2005 07:40 AM

Randy Couture will always be my fav, but I don't think I can ever bet money against Liddell ever again. :2 cents:

Dude, Jeremy Horn has been fighting non stop, something like over 150 fights in his career. He is one of the most sought after trainers and cornerman in the biz.

To slag him off because the UFC would not give him a slot is ridiculous.

To also think that Liddel is the ONLY ONE to have gotten better since 99 is also stupid.

With no experience he gave the number one man in MMA back in the day trouble. To this day Shamrock gives excuses on how he wasn't prepared. Horn has only progressed forward.

I couldn't give a definitve answer, it could go either way, but if I was a betting man, I'd put money on Horn. I'm open to anyone willing to wager.

You know you are my brother from another mother, but the Iceman is going to kick his ass. Rember Ortiz? What's our wager going to be?

Ortiz is not the submission fighter that Horn is, different game. Horn was blackballed for a good long time by the UFC for not having exciting fights.

I am willing to bet 100 bucks on the outcome, as well as the loser has to wear pink for a week at the office.

:)

Unlike you, I don't have a week's worth of pink outfits. Cash is no fun...how about dinner at Morton's? Shit the way you eat, that will cost way more the $100!

Oh fuck you bitch. I dress in basic dark colors. I was giving you a way out on the latter half of the bet knowing in your closet full of metro gear you would have at least a months' worth of fru fru pink.

I'm down for Mortons. Love that place. :)

Hell, I'll even buy dinner for you and Kristy! :)

A friend of mine in town owns a company called Submit. He's a fighter and hangs out with some of the big names around San Luis Obispos. Just saw a few nights ago at the gym someone I know who is training for this weekend from Roseville, CA (Sacramento Area), his names James Irvin (The Sandman).
So we're gonna have some people over at our house this weekend to watch it..should be cool!

CJTraffic 08-18-2005 09:59 AM

I'm a huge UFC fan and my money is on Liddell. That man is a monster. Just look into his eyes and you know that short of a few gunshots to the cranium, he's not going to stop.

Vitasoy 08-18-2005 10:07 AM

I try to watch all UFC and PrideFC PPV events. No doubt I'm ordering it.

Vitasoy 08-18-2005 10:08 AM

Oh.. as for predictions. Chuck by first round KO.

The Mata Leon

High Plains Drifter 08-18-2005 11:56 AM

Light Heavweight Championship
Chuck Liddell vs. Jeremy Horn - Liddell by TKO, rd. 1

For you statwhores out there that are impressed by Horn's 100 fights and excellent record, take a look at how many big wins he has: ZERO. He's made a name for himself by demolishing subpar talent.

Light Heavyweight Bout
Randy Couture vs. Mike Van Arsdale - Couture TKO, rd. 2

Should be a wrestling clinic between two old-timers.

Welterweight Bout
Diego Sanchez vs. Brian Gassaway - dirty sanchez by choke

I can't wait till sanchez gets KTFO. Unfortunately, this won't be the fight.

Welterweight Bout
Frank Trigg vs. Georges St. Pierre - Rush by dec.

Excellent matchup. I don't think Trigg's head is in the game anymore.

Heavyweight Bout
Tim Sylvia vs. Tra Telligman - Sylvia via TKO early.

This is like a special-ed fight. The mongoloid vs. the pec-less monster.

Middleweight Bout
Matt Lindland vs. Joe Doerksen - yawn
Travis Lutter vs. Trevor Prangley - Lutter by dec.

Light Heavyweight Bout
James Irvin vs. Terry Martin - Irvin by tko.

.

Why is that, do you think? Maybe because the UFC wasn't knocking on his door, considering him a boring fighter?

This man has kept busy, fighting where he can. Are you telling me Wins against Dean Lister (Considred the Best Grappler in the world), Vernon White, Travis Fulton, etc. are all tomato cans?

I respect your views, I happen to see it differently. Jeremy is one of the hardest working fightes out there, promoting and fighting. It would make my year to see him UFC Champ. :)

Dean Lister might be the best grappler in the world, however he's far from the best MMA grappler, probably not even top 20. Fulton and White are tomato cans.

I've got nothing against Horn (except that he's a boring fighter), however he's always choked like a two-bit whore when shit is on the line.

True.. but Randy was also more experienced and Chuck dropped his ass... quick

Horn will put up a fight but Chuck is going to spaz out and kick his ass.

actually, depending on the choke, an air choke is a nasty way to go out and takes way longer. a blood choke and be a very peacefull way to put someone out and is VERY quick. we practice good blood chokes and have been 'choked out' in about 8 seconds when properly and quickly applied.

Wonderful. Thanks for the insight. What do you see there? An air or blood?

A mata leon is a rear naked choke, ie the picture of me. It is a blood choke.

Thanks for your 2 cents.

1634 votes on http://www.fightresource.com/?lcode=15, out of that 96% say Horn will win.

evildick 08-20-2005 11:35 AM

What's this fight cost tonight? I haven't ordered one in a while. They still about $30 or have they jacked the prices up?
