What retards still use quicktime?
Stand up and be shot.
|
Had a bad .mov experience? QT is a crappy install on a Windows box sometimes that's for sure.
|

Hate to see you have to be eliminated as well. :( Hard times. |
I do. And I've been releasing all new movies to members in Quicktime format, too.

In other words: not only do I use it, I'm creating a new Quicktime user with every member as well! :) From last Friday's update: Quote:

The .mov format is excellent quality Vs. file size, it's what my digital camera uses for movie clips. The real problem is the QuickTime player. Using QuickTime Alternative gets around that, it allows you to use .mov files in classic media player :thumbsup

Never do I use QT. Never. Ever.
Windows Media Player all the way here. :D |
Same type of pussies that use apple, I suppose.

For some things QT kicks ass over other shit useability-wise for streaming purposes. Like actually being able to cache a whole movie first unlike WMV's bullshit 60 second limit. Good for movie trailers etc. It's also got a really nice quality of picture... Anything else though and it sucks balls.

the real problem is that fucking QT player that takes over file associations - 95% of the time, it's happened to members who email because they can't watch video files --- and they're so useless it's almost impossible to talk them through changing the file associations back
|
Ummm, Sony, Universal, MGM, Dreamworks to name a few. YOu know those stupid ass know nothing about movies type of companies.... :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

It seems quicktime is used more than you think AlienQ :upsidedow
|
I have always used windows media but now with the new quicktime 7, it blows everything else away.
|
Man do I despise WMV's.
I don't do anything with video (well, mobile video I guess)... but personally I'd never work with WMV. It's not a friendly format for non-windows users, which there are a growing amount of. :2 cents: |
Never mind QuickTime, why in the name of sweet Jesus and all that is good and holy are you all STILL USING ICQ????
Just curious. |

Quicktime is worse than spyware.. use media player classic with mov-codec instead.
|
Quote:
Please explain why you think Quicktime is worse than spyware. Do you have a reason or were you just spouting off? |
Quote:
No, I am not very fond of software that sets a regkey/autostart whenever I use them. Also, it comes bundled with Itunes.... Makes me think of, the even worse, Realplayer install with hidden checkboxes and stuff. |
quicktime is great... but why the fuck does it put itself in my startup every time i use it?
|
Quote:
may be good quality but whats the use if the surfer cant figure out that he needs to install itunes so he can be spammed while watching the trailer |
I do like the fwd and rwd on QT. No pausing, no waiting, just seemless dragging the head through the timeline...
|
Quote:
while I am fond of quicktime's quality, their windows version sucks so much fucking ass |
Nothing wrong with QT.
|
QT sucks always has.
