ummmm.... no offence, but do you wear leather? (belts, shoes, coats, accesories...) How do you think they get the leather off of the cows?

Yes, I think that there are better ways to kill them. And in Europe and the UE they use more efficient and quick ways, but I have no problem wearing the skin of an animal that is breed for the purpose.


To say it again..... killing for skins I have no problems with... but this way that these people are doing it is just needlessly cruel. :2 cents:

Have you ever been to a slaughter house in the US??? they do not skin the animal alive. they snap thier necks with a chain, and it happens so fast, that the cow does not have time to wonder what is going on.

Those guys should be skinned in the same manner.. Like forestated, its really the manner in which there doing the killing...

I decided not to watch it coz I know it will be very depressing. I hate seeing animals in pain, even predators eating their prey in Discovery and National Geographic makes me sad.

I'm not even going to watch this. I'd bawl my eyes out. You don't have to be cruel when killing an animal. Quick and painless, please.

In some places, they just point a pointed metal on cows forehead and Struck a hammer on it--Killing the cow instantly. I think it's more humane.

Umm they aren't skinned alive.. The one they show him chopping the feet off of is alive ( but barely ) They show him swinging them against the pavement to kill them before they skin them . It's not a pretty site , but neither is a butterball turkey factory.. They electrocute the turkey while it runs along a conveyor belt hanginf by its neck , then its blood is drained , and its shocked again.

I'm not saying it's "right" but i'm not a judge , im just an opinion. They dont look any happier than a cow farmer is on slaughter day or a wheat farmer is on harvest day , or a mcdonalds employee on payday.

That didn't look like "furrier central" it looked like an isolated breeder. I would hope they would give the guy a knife or a hammer instead of filming it as propoganda.

i have NOT issue with killing animals for thier fur...but man, it should def be done more humanely..

They skin cats alive and then boil, or torch, then alive to take their fur off before cutting them up to eat them. Seen them slicing and dicing them alive.. meat still moving when cut open.. disgusting

Chickens can run around for a bit after you chop em , does that make it bad or worse than an animal that dies quiet ?
