Just having a discussion with a buddy, which show is funnier?

Family Guy, simpsons is played out.

I really don't think you can fairly compare the two shows. Different markets in my opinion.

the simpsons is a classic show at this point, it's still funny today. family guy was hilarious enough for me to buy the first season's dvd and i still tivo it, but it seems like recently the jokes have gotten more lude and aren't even funny. i'm all for crude humour, so long as it's still funny! the simpsons seems to still be as funny as when it started. :) :2 cents:

I love the Simpsons, I'll always love the Simpsons... but no program has made me laugh as hard as Famiy Guy has lately. No program. None.

When Stewie goes off about anything to do with "poop" or "filling his diaper in protest" I howl.

Sometimes I laugh so hard I can't fucking breath.

That show is insane.

Can I just choose both. I really enjoy watching these two cartoon series. ;)

The family guy by miles man. That cracks me up.

Both are very clever shows. It's hard to choose. I think Family guy is overall funnier but Simpsons has the best and funniest character -- Homer.
