17 hours for me... from Vancouver to Banff and then back to Kelowna.
Those mountain roads keep you awake.... the lack of radio and no working cassette/cd player doesn't. |

I forget now. I was on a 3-week roadtrip once, back in '82. From Winnipeg to Edmo, Vancouver, down the coast to LA, back up through Vegas through Utah to Wyoming, over to Minot N. Dakota and then back to Winnipeg. What a trip, just my nephew and I he was 16, I was 19.
I may have done a few 20 hour stretches. I know it was 15 hours to Edmo in the beginning, and I drove the whole way. |

When I drove from South FL to Northern CA I reached Amarillo TX with only a 30 minute nap in Mississippi. Took me just over 29 hours to get to Amarillo and I was dog tired when I got there. If I had to do it again I'd stop somewhere inbetween but at the time I couldn't, other than sleep in the car, because it was right after the hurricane had gone through the Pensacola area and all the hotels were slod out. Lots of caffeine but even then I reached a point where I coud have chewed a dozen No-Doz and gone right to sleep. :upsidedow

I drove from Seattle down to Colorado with 2 food stops and 3 gas stops.
22 hours, one 500 dollar speeding ticket, and 2 ridilin later....i was in boulder, CO |
Non-stop trips...

California to Dallas slept 4 hours then drove to Boca Raton, Florida.
|
1300 km, can't remember how long it took me, lots of coffee and Doritos to keep me awake
|
I've done 16 many times driving to the east coast, but I think the most was 22 driving all day and all night through Mexico.
|
24 hours for me. I went from Portugal straight to Switzerland.
Then slept a few hours and then went to Vienna (Austria). Then I visited Bratislava (Slovakia), Brno and Prague (Czech Republic) and Budapest(Hungary). A few days later I went to Brussels (Belgium) and then Paris (France). A week later I went to San Sebastian (Spain) and then back home. This was about 8.500 kilometers. My daughter was made somewhere during this trip :thumbsup |
