Bush totally OWN3D on C-SPAN2 just now. Unreal.

There's a guy on there exposing him right now.

If you want to attend the inauguration parade and whatnot you'll either need a ticket to get closer or they have free areas for the general public. Tickets are still available, and Ticketmaster is handling that.

So if you want to stand along Pennsylvania Ave, you call Ticketmaster and ask for a ticket.... But they ask for your ID number, which nobody knows what that is. So Ticketmaster tells you to call the Inaugural Committee and get it. So you call there, but they won't give you an ID number unless you are on their list of people who donated to the Bush campaign!!!!!!!

So all those patriotic Bush supporters you see standing along the street during the parade were HAND SELECTED by Bush. Every single one of them. Thus, you won't see a single protester.

Interesting, huh?

Bigwilly 01-20-2005 08:47 AM

yea no shit it makes sense, im sure the democrats would do the same thing. Dont forget this is politics

StuartD 01-20-2005 08:48 AM

Actually, I think Bush said it went like this...

"There's an old saying in Tennessee ? I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee ? that says, fool me once, shame on ? shame on you. Fool me ? you can't get fooled again."

Phoenix 01-20-2005 08:55 AM

BRISK 01-20-2005 08:56 AM

Quarantine dissent

uno 01-20-2005 08:59 AM

as much as we'd like to carjack his limo, flog him with a dead herring and leave him in the woods to die, I doubt that'd happen, so we protest peacefully :)

Yotone 01-20-2005 09:10 AM

john stewart says bush lives in a "truman show" like reality.

Pipeline Q 01-20-2005 09:14 AM

Yeah I remember what happened 4 years ago. Given how much more divided this country is, this parade route should be even more tense..... but having all Republicans up close will change that.

Four years ago he had to get back into his car early since the crowd was so upset. Let's see if that happens today.

ChefJeff 01-20-2005 09:16 AM

I don't watch anything on TV having to do with Bush. It sickens me.
Like I have always said, the people that support Bush are the same ones the think wrestling is real.

yah its all well and good, but this isn't the 60's. People aren't lobbying, people don't have realistic expectations. These protests simply accomplish nothing. I'd like to be an idealist and think they did, but they don't. Especially when the protests are moved back away from most eyes.

Jon Stewart for President!

If they made a Jon Stewart action figure I'd buy one. With or without the kung fu grip.

i agree, but then we've elected a fascist to office again, so we really have no choice anymore. By the end of these 4 years I expect at least 30% more of our civil liberties to be gone, as if enough haven't been stripped away as it is..

titmowse 01-20-2005 10:58 AM

Talk about quarantine. C-SPAN2 has all the protests and C-SPAN is showing all the love. :pimp :helpme

Yeah I remember it from a late night talk show where they were raggin on him for saying it that way......I just wanted to see if anyone else still remembered it.....the trouble with me is that I am strangely ironic yet sarcastic all at the same time......personality defect I suppose.
