Would love to go, but as a Pharmaceutical student, this is not possible.

I doubt such people exist around here, because why would they want to be in vegas if they cannot make enough money in the industry to at least get there. Most can afford it. (I think)

If your Aeroplan miles work across the entire star alliance you could prob fly him from a nearby city as Air NZ is a member.

fuzebox 12-26-2004 12:22 AM

My going depends on finishing several contracts before the 1st... :(

they only reserve a certain amount of seats for the miles per flight - so busy times of year like around new years book up fast

and since you asked if I wanted to buy your flight i'm assuming you're in financial trouble...

as anyone making any real amout of money it wouldn't even occur to them to fly coach.

thats what makes it hard to use up miles... I know on Northwest you can always do the RuleBuster where they charge you double... the crooks !

Not even the miles.

Air Canada will have a certain amount of seats on a Lufthansa flight to Germany say. So you will be booking an AC flight but flying on a Lufthansa airplace/service. Never heard of "reserves" or partner flights exclusively for Aeroplan, however I could be quite wrong.

Lots of ways to get around it - if you have super elite with Aeroplan, you can throw some weight around. Especially with AirCanada being such punk bitches lately and going broke

that kind of stuff has to be done on the phone i think - couldn't find anything with aeroplan available online.

i was willing to do normal airmiles for it - but 2-3 times normal rate will restrict travel for a lot of other people I give flights too.

i fly mostly northwest - so i don't have fuck all for status with air canada other than a pile of aeroplan miles

d00t 12-26-2004 12:40 AM

not sure if id use points on air canada though...

they have deals EX-australia for $600 USD return at the moment

good milage run :)

rickholio 12-26-2004 12:43 AM

I'd say that anyone who's too poor to buy a ticket to vegas is going to be pretty damn bored if they manage to make it there... it's not a cheap city to bum around in (at least not on the strip), and there's show costs if you can't beg/borrow a floor pass into the event.

I'm sure there's a couple juniors just getting started who'd love to try it though, just for the experience. :)
