So I bought a 2004 Kawasaki ZX10R Ninja
I just put a Yoshimira carbon fiber pipe on it. Its up around 190 HP. I had it doing about 180 KPH with the front end off the ground. This bike is absolutely fuckin wild! I cant show you any pics since I dont have a server any more.

ok nice bike.
problem is many kids can walk into a dealer and buy a bike like this---and they are not experienced riders...and they brag about going 150mph and popping wheelies, and taking chicks for wild rides. yes, bikes like this are lots of fun to be sure. until you hurt yourself---or hurt the girl who sits behind you with her hair blowing in the wind. rule #1. wear appropriate protection, the best full-face helmet you can afford, abrasion resistant clothing, and a jacket with a back brace. if you ride any bike without protection, especially a sportbike, you brand yourself as a newbie by more experienced riders. you will fall off if you are lucky to ride long enough. rule #2. make sure that anyone who rides on the back of your bike has appropriate protection. rule #3. learn to handle the bike, take a motorcycle safety course, learn about panic stopping, defensive driving, counter-steering, proper tire pressures for sport riding, just because you can go fast in a straight line doesn't mean you can handle things when the road gets twisty. rule #4. if you really want to hotdog a sportbike, learn motorcycle riding by riding dirt bikes, learn how to do wheelies, and how to control the bike when the rear wheel starts to slide---if you have never experienced this, then the first time you begin to lose control on pavement you are very likely to hurt or kill yourself. rule #5. you are probably young, at your age term life insurance is inexpensive. name someone you love (your mother, etc.) as a beneficiary. good luck to you. |
