I have a "FRIEND" I promise taking the stuff about 2 80's a day for about 1 full year and wants to stop how do i help them

take him to get professional help - they can flush his system out and hold him in rehab to cope with withdrawl symptoms

Cheaper from someone who is perscribed it from a doctor and doen't want to take it:)

what if they dont want to go but want to stop...how do we help without rehab

It will be ulgy but if you really want to help keep the friend at your place for awhile and let them go through withdrawl at your place.

find another legal drug that's not addictive to help take their mind off of it.. let him stay at your place, lure him down to just 1 oxy a day, and then 1 every other day, have him drink coffee or take an energy pill in place of where he usually took the oxy... eventually you'll have a friend not addicted to oxycontin, but will have a fuckload of energy

you can take him to get legal steroids from a doctor to stop the inflammation that will occur from withdrawl and make him hurt for more

do exactly what i said about weening him down, and making him take caffeine in place of the oxy, and just go to a doctor, explain what you're doing, and he'll give steroids to help his muscles cope with the inflammation .. if the dr. tried to give an arthritis medicine, try and request something different.. i've heard arthritis medicines to not help ease oxy withdrawl symptoms - but that's just what ive heard

If he/she is your true friend, tell him/her to go and get help and close your doors. If your friend is clean for five years and he/she contacts you, you helped a junkie. I believe it is called tough love :)

oxy contin is a muscle relaxer.. so if he relaxes his muscles THAT often, then when he stops, they'll start getting 'aggravated' that they're not being relaxed, and it'll be hard for his muscles to cope with real life again

ive never been addicted to oxy contin, ive never taken it - i dont even take tylenol or drink anything carbonated, i only smoke weed.. i only know everything i previously posted because i like to read about the effects of different types of drugs

I know they are pain killers

OxyCottin is EXTREMLY addicting - it is pretty much synthetic herion.

His body is not going to be able to handle quitting. He is going to get SICK AS FUCK - Throwing up, hot/cold flashes, extremly emotional (crying a lot). His body is going to hurt really bad too, all of his joints/muscle's are gonna be very sore.


If he plans on quitting cold turkey - HE HAS TO SEE A DR. or he won't be able to handle it. It's just like herion, people can die from the withdrawls.

If he doesn't want to see a Dr. then slowly drop the doses he is taking over a 3-4 week period. (This method makes it a lot harder to quit)

I do not suggest having him drink coffee or pop energy pills.... if it was cocaine/meth maybe that would help I dunno ..

He is going to want to sleep a lot, let him! Don't give him coffee .. he just needs to eat and sleep... getting him wired through this process would only make it harder to sleep.

I know a lot of people addicted to pain killers and oxy cottin is by far the worst.

My friends little brother Over Dosed on oxy cottin (shooting it) and died.

this is for someone who takes like 4-6 80's a day my friend doesnt use that much at all not even close

No, that's for someone who has been taking them for a year straight.


Someone who took takes 4-6 a day. Would be in really bad shape and would need to see a Dr. to quit.

So if i take the friend to the doctor will the doctor prescribe methadone to help

I'd usually post some motivational info, etc - "Hey, he can do it because...", etc.

But on the real? Oxy is nothing to fuck with. People are getting hooked on Vicodin, Percocet, Valium, etc -- And are having hard times getting off. Oxy? The effects/addiction of Oxy is ten fold. It's the strongest pain killer on the market. You break that time release, and you're ingesting heroin. How do you kick heroin? Methadone. How do you kick hillbilly heroin (oxy)? Ain't no alternative, other then cold turkey - And that's not a reasonable task by any means.

It's not a mission impossible, just a mission improbable.
