Kerry To Choose 'Hillary Clinton' For Vice Presidential Running Mate!

News coming out of Washington DC and the wires is that Kerry is being pressured by the Democratic committee to nominate Hillary Clinton as his running mate.

If he does something that damned stupid it will cement Republican rule for the next 12 years easy.

They did the same dumb thing when they nominated Joe Lieberman for VP last election.

They knew damned well the U.S. wasn't going to let a Jewish guy be V.P. Kerry is part Jewish and that's against him from the door.

Now they wanna usher Hillary in there? If they choose Hillary I'm definitely voting for Bush.

The final news is a few days away. Let's see how the world reacts.

Holly 07-02-2004 12:55 AM

The only people who are talking this shit, are the Republicans. They do it to cause a stir and to help rally their own party.

He's not putting Hillary on the ticket with him. Hillary knows Kerry is gonna loose and it will be 4 more miserable fucken years with Bush. Which is exactly what she's counting on.

She'll be on the ticket in '08.

=^..^= 07-02-2004 12:58 AM

as much as i dont claim to know dick about US politics i reckon Holly might be onto somehtign there
Hillary definately wants to be first woman pres.

she may very well get the female vote

The Truth Hurts 07-02-2004 01:08 AM

If Hillary was on there, I'd vote for Kerry.

But it'll end up being Edwards... who is a low rent al Gore.

It may be an unpopular thing to say, but I think that if and when Hillary runs for anything presidential, VP or otherwise, she will do well.

In '08 she could very well be elected.

Me too. I'm sure we'll all have the opportunity next time around. But she won't be in the vp slot.

I've come to the conclusion that it's probably gonna be Edwards, too. I've always thought it would be someone who could help him carry the swing vote in a few key states. I wouldn't have minded seeing him go with Bill Richardson, but after today I guess that's out.

Hillary vs Jeb in 2008

ADL Colin 07-02-2004 03:18 AM

Why would anyone find it "scary" for a woman to be VP? It's about time if you ask me. Hillary is the perfect female candidate. She's as good as any other candidate. Maybe a little green but being the first lady for 8 years is probably better experience than a decade of being a Senator.

Hell, I hope Bush dumps Cheney and goes with Condy as his VP.

I want to see Condy/Hillary debates.

Agree, and I'm a little peeved about it...I'm too tired to offer more than vague conspiracy theories, but I feel the media gave us Kerry (Dean dropped out because he made a silly yell?) and now they're giving us Edwards...granted, I'm now registered independent, but at heart I'm a democrat, and I'm looking at these candidates and saying (in my best Jon Stewart voice) - "Whaaaaaa?"

Can we just fast-forward to 2008?

The press did trash Dean to get rid of him. The DNC (bill clinton) tells the press who they want in the lead and they make it happen.
Kerry would never choose Hillary as VP as he dosen't want to be found dead in the park.

candyflip 07-02-2004 07:15 AM

I never imagined that Hillary would be voted in as a Senetor from NY. But she one quite easily. Don't count Kerry out if she is the nominee.

Sarah_Jayne 07-02-2004 09:10 AM

much wiser to start off as VP canidate. If the ticket wins she gets the kudos and she also breaks a major barrier (bet Gerladine will be cheering a bit) and sets up nicely for her to become president. If the ticket fails then it can be blaimed on the woman factor and it isn't so much on her shoulders and if put down to another failed attempt at advancing women.

Oprah should run shortly after she converts to being Jewish and break a ton of barriers.

Seriously... do you smoke crack alot?

Lets put it this was. If she is picked as Vice Pres.... I switch back to the Republician party as will thousands of others who have been jumping the Bush ship since he took office.

As bad as Bush is, I would take him over Kerry with Clinton anyday.

scamdotcom 07-02-2004 09:35 AM

You don't specificially state why you'd switch your vote or why you hate Hillary so much.

What reasons do you have?

Tom_PMs 07-02-2004 10:23 AM

I posted my reasons yesterday, but here goes again.

I'd vote for Hillary, definitely. She's less of a partisan brat than many other people on either side. She's more center than left of center. Enough of this devisive crap like "with us or against us".
She's impressive and qualified.

I disagree. I don't think she's interested in being VP. I bet if you asked her and she was honest, she'd tell you she's already done that for 8 years. :1orglaugh

I also think it would be the least likely and worst path to the Presidency for her. If Kerry puts her on the ticket and they win, then she's looking at at least 8 years before she even gets a shot. And that's assuming that things go well enough for a re-election and then the second term will be strong enough to put her in as President, which I think would be a big risk. If they lost the second term, then she's knocked out for at least 4 years before she can make another go and would still have to deal with whatever issues cost them the second term.

If they lost this time, she could still make a go in '08, but then she's got the loss hanging over her, plus the possibility of pissing off her constituents in NY that she's promised she won't be running this time. And I still think her worst nightmare would be that he'd add her to the ticket this time and they'd win.

Just seems like it would be a lose-lose situation for what she wants to do, either way. Of course, that's assuming we even know exactly what she wants to do. Never can tell. :)

You're right. Women are far too unreasonable, emotional, and irrational to hold a place of power.

Just imagine what this world would be like if all nations and countries were run by women.

pussyluver 07-02-2004 10:46 AM

You really don't want Hillary to be Pres!!! Very scary!!!

If she ran as VP and they lost, it would be Kerry's fault. For her to run though, I think she'd have to be drafted at the convention for yet some unknow reason.

Drudge says she will run? He calls a lot of them right??

We'll prolly know sometime next week.

All in all, a lose/lose situation for America.

Better choices include Sam Nunn, Colin Powell, Leon Panetta, even Steve Forbes... There's democrats, republican and an independant for ya

If you switchers who say you would rather have known fuckups
Bush and Chaney over Kerry and Hillary are that fucked up in your thinking then you should not even be in the adult industry:mad:

Not only is she smarter than her dumbass husband ( He didn't do such a bad job:Graucho ) she has some pretty good idea as well as being pretty level headed.

If Bush wins again you'll get what you want and the rest of us in this industry will get fucked:321GFY

I'd vote for anything not bush. That includes a ticket with kerry and clinton on it. If kerry ran with a bag of broken glass as his VP i'd still vote for him.

We are in such a fucked up situation that I couldn't vote for Hillary.

She's too much a socialist for my druthers.

With the fact that we allowed Bush and his cronies to start WWIII we're in it for the duration til someone realizes only a scorched earth policy will remedy the situation.

Getting soft now would be disastrous. Pretty soon I expect to hear the Russians have nuked Chechnya over their terrorist shit. When that happens you don't wanna have a socialist in the Executive branch.

It will be a BIG risk. Bush and his crew we know will kill everything moving whether right or wrong. We might as well admit it that we're all smelling our own shit and denying it. Now we're in a situation that diplomacy won't cure.

If Hillary gets the nomination ( which word is is just around the corner ), Republican women won't vote for her. Because the threats against them from their sexist fathers and husbands will make them think twice. I've heard it already " If that bitch gets the ticket you can kiss the summer house and the vacation in the Caribbean goodbye! " is what the right wing men are barking. Same with the industry bosses. Let a woman get the ticket and they'll squeeze those budgets til the welfare and unemployment rolls explode.

It's not about logic it's about egos and ideologies. Sure Hillary is smart and knows how to handle problems but her soft touch is not advisable now.

We're the bad guys as much as Al Queda and the rest but not because we're evil, but because we're irresponsible, lazy and hateful.

So sit back and rest. Bush and the Republicans are going to be here for a lonnnnnnnng time.
