My poor Missy dog sheds so much that we finally decided to shave her. Poor girl.. I think she's embarrassed.

definitely dogs get embarassed when they get shaved - mortified. they get embarassed over lots of things, feel shame, guilt etc

Did you shave her yourself?

i could see the embarrasement in the eys of my inlaws dog, she had to wear a cone for a while after some surgery to her leg.. you just just tell she was not impressed

No, I did not shave them. I have tried and lack a certain je ne sais quoi with the clippers. The groomer did apologize for Missy. She said, "Well, at least she'll be cool for summer." Zeus looks dashing when he's shaved, but Missy just looks like a fat little fox.

It took her a year to get her full coat back from being not shaved, but clipped short.

Awwww I'm thinking of getting Pookie shaved, he gets matted and stuff stuck in his fur. I will definitely take pics if I do heh.

Really? Aww I was so proud of her beautiful full coat.. but it's all gone now. But lordy, she shed like a cat! 4" long crimpy white hairs EVERYWHERE.. and on hardwood floors, I do mean everywhere!

Ah well.. I'll just have to get used to the new Missy, I spose.
