Best sports car in the 40k to 60k range?

What's the Best sports car in the 40k to 60k range? Selling my lexus SC430 even though I love it, I wanna get something different.

Rochard 05-05-2004 09:16 AM

Get yourself a Mustang Mach 1. For $27k it's a hoot to drive - and an investment being as there is only 14k of them and they aren't making them any more.

jt420 05-05-2004 09:17 AM

I like the wrx sti but its a bit cheaper then that, you could score a nice vette for that price.

Minte 05-05-2004 09:20 AM

Don't go to heavy with the options..and you can pick up a new M3 for around 60k.

Adulter 05-05-2004 09:20 AM

Get the new Chevy

Mr Pheer 05-05-2004 09:24 AM

Ross 05-05-2004 09:25 AM

Alex Xe 05-05-2004 09:27 AM

Evolution 8!

quiet 05-05-2004 09:28 AM

there are lots of nice sports cars in that range, tough choice. do you want a convertible, or a hardtop?

NickPapageorgio 05-05-2004 09:29 AM

GTO or 2005 Mustang. I love those mustangs, they look almost just like an old Shelby.

Kenny B! 05-05-2004 09:30 AM

The new Z they are coming out with a long nose Z should be around $60k

jerseygirls 05-05-2004 09:30 AM

Go with the BMW M3. I have it and love it.

All the car mags i've read love it too.

Platinum Adam 05-05-2004 09:39 AM

There is alot of stuff in that price range

I like the Nissan 350 Z
Mazda RX-8

Those are two great cars for the $$$$

gleem 05-05-2004 09:41 AM

I actually don't care if it's convertable or not, but if it is I want it to be hardtop convertable, with none of that gotta take off the top as a separate piece before you leave the house bullshit.

Not crazy about mustangs or vettes, porche's are just too damn overpriced, Beemers are cool, except I liked the Lexus SC430 over the Z3/4 when I got this car, want something that looks like it's from the movie "Minority Report" love that super futuristic concept car look.:thumbsup

Doubt you will find anything better then your Lexus in that price range.

One car to look at may be the Crossfire. It has a unique look, not sure how it drives though.

Actually I have driven a vette since I was 21 - and it's the sweetest ride out there - So don't hate man - corvettes a lifestyle people get one and it's the only car they want to drive for the rest of their lives.:thefinger

dunefield 05-05-2004 11:03 AM

Why not get the Mazda RX8 or an Audi TT

:1orglaugh thats so 80s man. A lot of young guys own vettes. You can get a C5 at a great price now and with the help of after market SCs, and spray put the exotics to shame in both a straight line and twistys for a fraction of the cost.

The actual vet doesn't look much like that artist's rendering. It's still going to be one of the best pics in the price range though...
