Vette or Viper?

What is everybodys opinion on what youd rather have. A Chevy Corvette or A Dodge Viper?

Mike-BP 03-23-2004 08:24 AM

FrankWhite 03-23-2004 08:25 AM

its about $40k difference, its all dependce on what you wanna spend, vette = 45k, viper = 85k

grumpy 03-23-2004 09:10 AM

I like dodge. Did a testdrive with the viper. I felt like a sardine in it. So it has all the power but its a drag to drive ( for me )

riosluts 03-23-2004 09:12 AM

Umm The 2005 Camaro was a fake. Its not coming out. Maybe in a few years but not this summer. Anyways a Viper is way better. There are hundreds of Vette's in my city.

born4porn 03-23-2004 09:14 AM

Viper all the way :thumbsup

JFK 03-23-2004 09:15 AM

Viper is definetely a more distinctive car:2 cents:

Bigfuck 03-23-2004 09:15 AM

Viper of course:thumbsup

SoundMan 03-23-2004 09:16 AM

you can almost get two vettes for the price of a viper..

a no brainer.

monaro 03-23-2004 09:18 AM

you see black vette's all the time, how offen do you see a black viper?

Do you want v8 or a v10

Would you want a deep tone or a rumble

Does any of your mates drive around in a viper?

I would still have to see the pics before i choose!

Rochard 03-23-2004 09:18 AM

There is no fucking '05 Camaro. Get used to it.

A Vette or Viper? Depends on what your needs are. If your looking for all out speed, go for the Viper. Everyone I've ever known who has had a Viper bitches that the car is not a daily driver. The newer Vettes are sexy as hell.

A friend of mine in the industry recently got a Vette. I wanted to drag race up to Vegas for the show. He couldn't. That's right - Vettes don't have much room for luggage now, do they?

Furious_Male 03-23-2004 09:22 AM

I am biased because I own a Vette but after driving both my Z06 and an 02 Viper the viper just wasn't comfortable. I can't even imagine driving it on very long trips. (I am sure some viper owners will disagree but they are biased as well).

If you want to have a head turner the Viper wins. More power out of the box as well. But your paying for it without a doubt.

The Corvette on the other hand is comfortable as hell (provided you are not to tall) its like sitting in a recliner while driving. Travels long distances well and still looks good without breaking the bank.

As far as power.. I super charged my Z06 amongst several other upgrades. I have no fear of a Viper on the road (unless hes highly modified) and I still paid a fuck of a lot less.

Firehorse 03-23-2004 09:22 AM

I would always go Ferrari. But if it's between a Viper and a Corvette, then the Viper would be my choice. :)

atom 03-23-2004 09:30 AM

ive got a Z06 and i would take a viper any day over that car.

HeebyJeeby 03-23-2004 09:32 AM

stevo 03-23-2004 09:33 AM

Viper, vettes are for the old guys.

Huggles 03-23-2004 11:28 AM

Viper = slow

Vette = slow

Also, the Supra gets more looks because they're even more rare than the Viper. ;)

Besides Carlito, who has a mid 600 rwhp Vette, anyone here with a Vette / Viper pushing at least 500 hp to the wheels?

Basic_man 03-23-2004 11:29 AM

It's all about the Viper ! :Graucho :thumbsup

My Z06 is putting down 579 to the rear wheels and I am just getting started on the mods. Of course I do love when someone has the opinon that they are all slow. Makes for easy money.

Grow the fuck up. This post isn't about import ricers.

Well, my Supra puts 686 to the rear wheels, and soon to be more. My mechanic just finished tuning another Supra to mid 800 rwhp on the stock block.

How about you shut the fuck up before I drag race my balls across your chin to your eye sockets and give you a pair of arabian goggles?

Yea they can put up great numbers. One of the easiest cars to squeeze a ton of HP from. Unfortunately a lot of them running at the higher numbers aren't going to last long on the streets because they were built to be dyno queens. I have seen plenty of guys grenade there motors at the local street drags out here.

I could hit 800+RWHP by swapping to a smaller pulley and driving the boost through the roof. The engine wouldnt last though. Its all about drivability, longevity and then then lastly the power. I am taking my time. Good tuners know that.

Fu-Q 03-23-2004 11:40 AM

Vette all the way
