you don't support fighting but you've got six goddam pups sitting around that nobody wants because every animal shelter I've been to is packed full of Pits already. You don't have to have INTENTIONS of hurting the breed to hurt the breed. It's usually well meaning people such as yourself that let their dogs get knocked up with no provisions for the pups or adopt exotic animals out of ignorance.

Handle your responsibility and get your Pits spayed BEFORE they knock out a litter. At least it's the last one.

A pit inaffected by this condition is as friendly as any breed, I had an american Staff Pit, he was the sweetest dog, til he got older. One day when he was about 6 years old, I was walking across my front porch, and he tried to bite me as I walked away, as I had raised this pooch from puppy, I was genuinly concerned that if he was willing to give me a warning bite, then he would likely not spare a stranger from an even worse fate, subsequently I had to have him put to sleep. RIP "stoli" the original greyhound Pit.

i hope you screened the owners good. people around here will go as far as to steal the dog out of your yard just to use it as a practice dog for their pit to fight. they tape the mouth shut and let their dog rip it to shreds.

they youthanize them on the regular

there are no fighting rings in my city
they mostly go to people looking for good gaurd dogs
but you cant ever be 100% sure of the fate of a dog once it leaves you hands

it actualy is kinda sad that things like this happen
but untill we start putting police stations in the ghetto's and get cops out of donut shops and on the streets where they should be it will never stop

j/k actually she had an enlarged heart. She was the first puppy I ever owned and she lasted all of 5 weeks at home. Thank God I never had kids.

By the way, those of you who shoot models and have dogs... you ever notice that the models totally ignore the dogs, to the point of getting really prissy (ew! ew!) around them. Meanwhile, my current roommate has a cat. It's really not much of a cat, kind of nasty beast really, and they dote all over the evil creature. There is no justice.

yup its big here, thats good that you dont have it there. i agree about bite statistics. my dog has a better temperment than any dog in my neighborhood as far as i've seen so far.

just the other day i was walking my dog and these people left their door open too long and this little ankel biter ran out of their door and started chasing after me and my dog barking up a storm. my dog just growled at it and kept walking as soon as i pulled him. then the whole time the owner just stood on her porch calling it. if the scenario had switched and my dog ran out of my door and nearly attacked someone i would probably have the police/humane society called on me.

yeah i had one as a kid also and it lived to be about 13 or 14. i love golden retrievers but dogs that shed a lot really bother my allergies now so i got a short haired dog.
