If You had a choice in Life, what would you have Health, Wealth , or Happiness ??

If you dont have the first, the rest are not much good:2 cents:

herbalpaul 02-19-2004 06:48 PM

Well, whats the point of having good health and wealth if you cant be happy? I'd have to go with happiness.

TurboAngel 02-19-2004 06:51 PM

Well I'll be the first to go shopping so I would have to say Wealth. You need that when you're a high maintenance girl like me!

Agreed, a person can be on their death bed and if they are truely happy it makes it almost bearable.

Assuming you only get one, the choices could be restated as:

1. Happy, broke, and diseased
2. Depressed, broke, and healthy
3. Depressed, rich, and diseased

If you're talking a permanent condition, I guess I'd go with the first option. I don't know why I'd be happy if I were broke and diseased, but assuming it was real happiness, not a drug-induced illusion or insanity, then I'd go with happiness.

myjah 02-19-2004 07:12 PM

if its gotta be just the one im gonna have to go with happiness

Just give me a nice blue sky, a warm sandy beach, the sounds of the waves coming on shore and I'm a happy camper.

Money means nothing.

Then you won't mind writing me a check for about $10 million.

Wealth...

Head 02-19-2004 08:57 PM

Happiness; if you have that then your health is probably good and you have enough money.:1orglaugh

jasonir 02-19-2004 08:58 PM

Health.

Doctor Dre 02-19-2004 09:01 PM

All 3 ... but wealth is the last thing I expect . I don't really care :)

Cassie 02-19-2004 09:02 PM

with wealth you have a better chance at buying better health which in return gives you happiness.

trickle down effect

Wealth for sure. All my problems all revolve around things that I want/need/have to have that require money. I have NO other problems in my life. I am convinced that money DOES buy happiness. How can you be miserable when you are wealthy? If you are sick you can afford the best doctors and specialists. If you are really poor you might not even have health insurance and than you are REALLY fucked!

Spending money and shopping makes me happy! So, wealth brings happiness and can help keep you healthy because you can afford the best healthcare!

If you have money you can buy exotic cars, mansions... If you don't like something about yourself you can fix it, you can look anyway you want; hire the best makeup artists and hair stylists/personal trainers to be at your beck and call... Buy the finest haute couture clothes, go on vacations in St Martins ....

How can you possibly be unhappy when you are rich?

Also , how can you be depressed when you are rich? Just go shopping, that usually cures it for me. I can't imagine being wealthy and being depressed, life would be so worth living.

Mutt 02-19-2004 09:07 PM

automatic answer is health but whoever made a good point - happiness is most important. there are very physically healthy very wealthy people who are miserable. there are people who can remain happy even when sick. really bad pain tho - i don't even think the world's most optimistic person can be happy under those conditions. so we're back to health being most important.

health wins.

you have obviously not been around many really wealthy people before. the people who create the wealth usually are fine, it's the later generations who get screwed up.

Yea, but personally I can't imagine being a multi- millionaire and still being depressed (for myself). Maybe other people are rich and depressed, but honestly, I really can't imagine it for myself. I would be on cloud 9 everyday of my life.

tony286 02-19-2004 09:33 PM

You are a shallow, superficial bitch.

I think that happiness innately means that one is healthy and wealthy enough to be happy:-)))))))

You people that chose anything besides health should spend a couple months in a wheelchair

Health is #1 as far as I care.

JDog 02-19-2004 11:48 PM

See but if you have wealth, it can help your heatlth, which in turn can help your happiness!

I'd pick wealth, although I know that statement I just said is BS! But for me, wealth can buy happiness! :)

health.

venturi 02-20-2004 12:14 AM

Happiness without a single doubt. It is the core of obtaining the other two.

If you are unhappy you can attain wealth still, but it is likely that your health will suffer.
If you are unhappy you can maintain your health (maybe) but you will likely end up working for the man the rest of your life just to maintain your medical bills and prescription costs.

But, if you are truly happy then you'll find yourself with much more energy to pursue life, suffer less physical and mental illness and be able to focus yourself on attaining success and achieving wealth.

just my :2 cents:

I would choose happiness.
Obviously if I have that then I have health and wealth, right?
Who could be really happy if they were in bad health. It is well known that most married people fight about money so, wealth is a vert important aspect of life.
So is you have great health and wealth, you better be happy. ;-)

Or only one week but without knowing it lasts for a week only.

SleazyDream 02-20-2004 12:26 AM

isn't there like a heiarchy of things humans strive for.

first is health related -

warmth, food, shelter, relationships, wealth. etc.... something like that

Exactly.

Although if you don't have good health you could have some money and have a good run of fun while it lasted.

If you have health and wealth and can't find happiness you need to get out more.

If you don't have wealth, well there is always the lottery.
