Thats funny because just two weeks ago one of the top WMD scientists was quoted by the same sources as saying there were closer to landing on the moon then they were to developing WMD.

He said they were constantly lying to the world because Saddam thought if they had WMD the US would not attack them.

My guess is the source of this story just got a really nice house and "goverment assistance" that will make him very wealthy for years to come for his "story"

While it is not at all impossible that there are WMD in Iraq, this guy's claims aren't really evidence at all for anything. What people tend to forget is that the whole lying part has very little to do with the actual existence of WMD in Iraq. It could be that there are no WMD, while Bush and Blair had good reasons to believe they were there, and it could be that there are WMD, while Bush and Blair had no reasons whatsoever to believe they existed. A lie is defined by the relation between claims and knowledge, not by the relation between claims and reality.

Let me get this straight. Soldiers were given WMD's to defend themselves but instead of doing so they decided to hide the WMD's in the middle of a damn war?

For God's sake we've got satellites who are able to take pictures of an underground lab in North Korea and yet those few soldiers have been able to defeat all of those technologies and hide the WMD's without even caring to tell the Americans where they are :)

And I'm guessing the Fedayeen gave all the WMD's they had to the soldiers and left nothing for themselves but the standard grenades and Kalashnikov's. If that's the case and they're really that stupid, then they're no threat to anyone.
